How to Do Special Tricks with Gravis Eliminator Aftershock

I just want to know how to do dribbling techniques with a Gravis Eliminator Aftershock Controller. Right now, I have "1" for Shoot, "2" for normal pass, "3" for lob pass, "4" for through pass. Then I have "5" for calling a player to move forward to make a through pass, and "6" for speed boost. I have tried using the right analog stick, but they do a strange dribbling move that sometimes makes the player go out of bounds, it is also rather ineffective against most defenders. If anyone is familiar with this controller, can u please help me with dribbling tactics.

I have The Eliminator Aftershock too, but like every other controller, the special tricks suck with the analogs.

I have it set up to hold R2 (the big button on the right) and move the player around. This is still completely USELESS though..................
