How does manzone tell the efficiency rating for training?

Just does a percentage of your players. The higher the player is in the list of training, the higher the percentage. It's not 100% accurate, but it's the closest thing you will ever use to find out how close your players are from getting a new ball.

I think that answers the question!

If this program does work properly it raises a couple of questions surrounding the efficency of coaches.

Since mzmanager is more or less correct in its predictions one must come to the conclusion that the only thing determining the amount of times a player needs to train before gaining a new ball is where he places in the training report.

This must mean that when a coach is training a couple of players all he does is putting them at the top of the training report. The question that come to mind is when a team is using multiple coaches, some players who's being trained by coaches must still end up at the bottom of the training report. Which would mean that they gain nothing at all eventhough they are being trained by coaches.

The conclusion must be that coaches is only good when used alone or perhaps in pairs and in that case to decide who's gonna gain the most on that particular day. Used in big numbers they are useless since the trainingreport must be "randomized" in the same way as without coaches.
One can also calculate that it doesn't matter if a coach has 1 or 10 balls in something as long as he puts his players at the top of the training report.

Or have I just misunderstood the whole thing? Is mzmanager not correct in its predictions?

I think the part you misunderstood is the training report.

It's arranged from most improvement in that day to least improvement in that day. If they are all improving by the same amount then they'll be shown in a random order, because it makes no difference. The training report only shows how much players are improving in comparision with the rest of the squad e.g. a player who is at the top may be improving faster than anyone else, but it doesn't mean he's improving the maximum amount possible to improve per day. Similarly someone at the bottom may still be improving quite fast, but just slower than all the rest of your players.

Interesting point though. Manzone is not 100% accurate, so I guess the errors that there are come from the fact it's not taking into consideration the affect of coaches. (Am I right? )

I guess Manzone gets it's calculations from age of player, balls he currently has and position on training report, not just position on the training report.

The thing about manzone is that every player gets a percentage every day. top of the list 100% and downwards to 0% for the last places. Which would indicate that they do get a fixed dose of training based on their position on the training report

No, you're taking fact A, fact B, making logical assertion C.....

All players shown in the training report are players that gain training, regardless of amount.

The report ranks increases in order of daily increase.

There is no "fixed dose" of training per position as you posit.

Somebody may be top of training list two days in a row - actual gain day one may be 97% of maximum, the second day 87% - it's all relative to your squad.

Manzone assigns a percentage value based upon the ranking of your player within the report - it's an arbitrary calculation.

what's the point of having coaches if one of my players gained additional ball in tackling after 38 days being in the top(first 10)of the training report(only 4 days beyond first 10)? i think without training with coach he would gain that ball maybe 5 days later.
Maybe those who has no coache have right doing this way?
