You are not thinking negatively, just we want a football simulation and that is far from EA sports ideal.

Ofcourse Fifa 2004 is better than 2003 but just about 10% of improvement, plus now again some features made it worse.

Fifa 2003 just need headers to be better than Fifa 2004 lol

The only improvement of 2004 is the player tackling / blocking.

The next generation of football simulators will have 1 person cam ( like ESPN NFL game ) that feature will rock using career mode and hopefully the AI will be good enough to keep the flow in the gameplay.

I never tried it... I read a lot of good reviews, i might go for PES3 on PC if the thing is really good. FIFA04 is good.. but if you played 03, there isn't much to it. I think.. unless the career mode is deep. I played other dynasty mode from EA, Madden is good, but NHL isn't that deep,

Once you play WE series your football vision will change and then fifa series for you will be only arcade games for kids that like to watch his football hero scoring amazing goals.

Actually if Fifa 2004 changes graphics to cartoons practically will be a top sale for all anime addicts.

You can try WE2002 at your PC using the PS2 emulator and the binary image its still better than any fifa even the names of the players are funny and graphics are ugly , but that doesnt matters because once you playing you wont even notice it, focus on gameplay and use your imagination.

Yeah thats right, graphics are not important, use your imagination, that blurry animatronic yellow square over there is Ronaldo, that other is Beckham. You wont even notice, just use your imagination...
I dont know why they dont relase Doom III for the Atari 2600...
It would look terrible, but the gameplay would be awesome !

can someone tell me if they are getting realistic scores. i seem to read quite a few high scoring games. especially that 4-4 that i read in an earlier post. soccer is not a high scoring game and i hope that there will be some low scoring games this year as opposed to last year.

NONO, i will try PES 3 once it hits PC. This year's Fifa is pretty decent or even good if you haven't played last year's version. I just noticed that the nets are kinda small.

Well, on the amateur , there will be some high scores. But increasing the difficult will reduce the scores..But they still a little higher i think... Like the old fifas, thats bad news...One solution is stay playing only 2 mins on a higher dif.

the whistle pisses me off .. . they dont blow the whistle every single time the ball stops .. when the ball goes out the ref just puts his hand out and tells whos ball it is ..

My last game at "world class" level in a 10 min per Quarter match was 10-3, imagine what the score will be in a 45 minute per Quarter match lol

People posted pics of PES 3 on the forum, those aren't that bad, some of them are pretty good, you can tell who is who easily. Not Fifa quality but they're sharp. I got something like 4-3, 4-4, 4-1. But then its not even professional, so it doesn't count

Well...I just played the demo and all I can think is 'different year, same old sh*te'. While there are some improvements, there are still so many things wrong with the game that it still does not have a true football feel. I don't think that EA intentionally screw everyone over or are lazy as some believe, but I really think that Danny Isaac and Co. need to hand over the reins to someone else, as they are simply incapable of making a good, realistic football game. Most dissapointing. I really thought that things may be different this year.

Just played the demo... HUGE problem with the AI attack, absolutely no imagination... all they do is run straight for the net and try to make a through ball.

Jeeeezzz.. this is a new record. I'm bored of a game in 2 min.
