I think the game is too slow, althoght I put the fastest option in game speed in demo raptor.

I think the gameplay is too slow, althoght I put the fastest option in game speed in demo raptor.
Dunno if anyone else has experienced this, but in-game I scored a long range goal with Trezeguet - and then, when the highlights showed, he wasn't there, so the ball basically gets passed into space, rolls a bit then lifts into the air and into the goal, as if noone kicked it. Pity I couldn't make a movie of it.
Played it for a good hour and sorry I am not convinced enough to buy it yet. There are still a few hangovers left from 2003, and one of them is the scripted play.
The reaction time of defenders is still too slow, CPU attackers are still running from the halfway line like superman and leaving my defenders for dead to slot the ball past the keeper.
Is it me or have they still not fixed the heading? I have also noticed what appears to be an invisible wall or an unusual gust of wind that pauses the ball in mid air at times.

Is it just me or the goaltender never in the middle of the net.
The goalies only get good at the world class level....probably bc the AI doesn't give u much room to take long shots.

Well, i played the game more or less 2 hours with the raptor 1.5 and this are mythoughs..coming from someone that have played WE7 too.
OK, fist.. the gameplay have improved noticeably in comparison with the 2003. Its just better because is not so scripted and sometimes you dont know what will happen in tackles and bounds. Is not that freely like the WE series, but is cool to play. IM using a keyboard and i just suck. IN semi pro milan smashed my team 11-4 . 3 of my goals were with that nedved´s crazu shots and one with a very cool OTB cross with del piero.
the passes ahve improved..although i cant do a 1-2 still. Some players commit errors in the passes and thats cool. And yes, there are backheel passes, but are not easy tod o because the player tend to do a 180 spin and then pass the ball.
Shots. Imo the shots are not that bad.. but the problem is with Nedved. Sometimes the guy shots extremely hard and with such curl that is unstoppable, and easy to score.
The keepers behave much better than in 2003, i like the way the kepers has evolved.
I have not tried the OTB thing that much because is a pain in the butt with keyboard,,,but is cool to be able to move your passer and your receiver at the same time...and sometimes the enemy defenders intercept your pass.
The tackles are just top class. The best improve IMO.
The AI, well is not that bad...but they dont shoot outside the area, and are ljust waiting for counter attack.
IM having problems with the wingers, but i think that is because the formations dont have wingers. In 2003 i used a formation with wingers that worked very well.
Freestyle. WEll i dont understand it too much, but it seems that it doesnt work against the pc....but im very sure that will be funny to see how it works in a human player. (A question... how can i do the moves that were shown in a french movie?? im talking about the del pieros trick,,and the way zidane rolls the ball?? help please)
WEll, as fas i have seen, EA followed WE style,,and they did an acceptable job. Is not the best game,, but surely more enjyable than last year. The main problem is the AI, and the super shots of some players...but overalñl is a good game.
