Another WE6 Patching "How-To"

Like AnaMorph0s|s, I've also created a small page describing how I created a patched WE6 CD and played it with my PS2 using the "knife trick" (http://winning_eleven_6.tripod.com). I used CDRDAO to create the disc and hope the info will be of help to others.

Can't wait to get WE6:FE with the Rhapsody ML patch!

Thanks AnaMorph0s|s for your help ,with this helpful information I sucseeded intially to apply the patch for my we6fe. I am saying initially because when I first played the patched game it functioned greatly.The day after a strange thing happened,although I tried to play this game for several times,nothing,the game just did not want to start.
I tried again to make another copy,but this time instead of using CDRwin I used Nero and again no sucsess.
The fact that initialy I played the patched game and now the same game,for some reason I can`t play it makes me very nervous.
I hope someone helps could me to resolve this problem.THANKS.

I have a DVD version of WE6 FE. I have backup the DVD and made the iso file by using CDRWin. The problem is the file size is different than the CD backup size. (very small diffrence so the PPFoMATIC3.0 gives a incorrect file size.)

I need the original CD layout (LBA) with a program like Isobuster ( http://www.smart-projects.net/isobuster/ ).

I hope somebody can help...... I want to patch and play the game.

Hey Flaming Wookie I read ur page on how to play WE6FE on my north american ps2 and its an awesome guide but im trying to get that GameShark 2 Upgrade Cd you were talking about but the link must be outdated or something, i can only find the whole package for GameShark 2 which is 40 bucks and I dont want to pay for that, I just want the Cd which u said ran u 11 bucks, do u know of anywhere else I could get it or have a link? thanks in advance

golazo, it looks like you can't order the GameShark 2 Upgrade CD off the website. I heard a rumor that the GameShark people went out of business, and sold the GameShark assets to another company, so they may not still be selling the upgrade CDs, but it doesn't hurt to try.

Give the GameShark tech support line a call (1.800.659.2287) and see if the upgrade CDs are still available. If not, try eBay. When I ordered my CD, I called and ordered it over the phone. You may try that too.

i am using the quide,and everything seems to be great..it sais that the copy is sompleted etc. But when i put the cd with the patched game on my ps2,it only gives me a BLACK SCREEN!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why could that happen?can anybody help me..?

the game is we7,and i am trying to put a greek patch.my ps2 is scph 50004,this is what it writes in model type.when i put the patched cd,it gives me the sign"playstation2",all normal till now,and then ...BLACK SCREEN..HELP PLS.thanks in advance.

Does the patch include any readme.txt files? Can you post the patching instructions it gives you, here? I'm pretty sure you're getting the black screen because the game ain't patched correctly.
