I didn't expect that, there could be even glory hunters, when it comes to supporting your country  :( When something goes wrong, stupid mother****ers throw crackers at our goalie! arrghhhhhhh. there are so many unloyal fans- they just wait for loses like that, to criticize manager, and players. I dont understand those stupid ****s! :(

There is no shame for 2 reasons;

i) It's a friendly match!!! - who cares about the final score, it's not that important. I am certain Poland will do well at the World Cup.

ii) Japan are a bloody good team - the Asian nations are not just coming up, they're already here and teams like Japan are not to be taken lightly with a few superstars already playing in Europe and a solid domestic league.

Anyways, there's still time left in the match.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Speechless.... I mean i kinda expected a close game, but this is incredible!! What happened to Dudek? OMG...... It is very good to see Japan showing a great improvement, but on the other hand, it is very dissapointing to see Poland be defeated at their home..

Anything can happen this summer!!!!

Japan has improved alot since Troussier took over 3 years ago.
Actually, it's not surprised Japan can beat Poland in a friendly match, they did so well in Confederation Cup as finalist.

Japan will be certainly do well in World Cup 2002, at least
they'll make it into 2nd round.

I am back... feels better, after beating Japan ###-0;)

Polish defence, played really bad today. Japanese players, were to quick for them. I don't know what coach is gonna do  Those were our best players, and there is no way we can get better ones. On the other hand, it was the worst game that Poland played while Engel is the manager, and players just had their bad day. Thankfully, it's not June.
There will be some positive outcomes from that game, because they will learn from their own mistakes... I hope. Well, lets see how will they paly against Romania...

here's a report, from onefootball.com

World Cup co-hosts Japan claimed a morale-boosting victory against Poland in Lodz on Wednesday thanks mainly to a virtuoso display from Hidetoshi Nakata.

The visitors started the brighter of the two sides and took just ten minutes to find the net when Daisuke Ichikawa's cross fell to Nakata who rifled home with ease.

Poland's greatest threat came from the lively Emmanuel Olisadebe and he came close to levelling the scores after 13 minutes but his shot from edge of the box scraped the outside of the post.

Meanwhile, Nakata was continuing to run the show in midfield as Japan dominated possession.

The home support became increasingly frustrated with the situation and their anger boiled over midway through the half when a missile was thrown from behind the goal, striking keeper Jerzy Dudek Sad, stupid ass fcuker!

The Liverpool star needed attention from the Poland physio but was able to continue. However, his day got worse three minutes before half-time when Naohiro Takahara's long-range effort flew past him to make it 2-0.

Just a minute later Nakata broke free and had a golden chance to make it 3-0 but Dudek dived bravely at his feet to keep Poland in the game.

Poland boss Jerzy Engle made five substitutions at half-time and the hosts almost pulled a goal back on 57 minutes when Tomasz Iwan let fly from 20 yards out.

Marcin Zewlakow then saw an effort saved by Yoshikatsu Kawaguchi before Tatsuhiko Kubo came close for Japan with a header.

However, chances were few and far between in the last 20 minutes as Japan held on for an excellent win that provides a major boost to their World Cup preparations.

Poland: Dudek (Majdan 46); Klos, Waldoch (J Bak 46), Hajto, Michal Zewlakow (Krzynowek 46), Iwan, Kaluzny (A Bak 79), Swierczewski (Karwan 46), Kozminski, Olisadebe, Kryszalowicz (Marcin Zewlakow 46)

Japan: Kawaguchi; Miyamoto, Toda (Myojin 80), Suzuki, Matsuda, Ono, Inamoto (Fukunisi 53), K Nakata, H Nakata, Ichikawa (Hato 70), Takahara (Kubo 53)

Referee: Hermann Albrecht (Germany).

japan is the team to watch in this coming world cup.. so nothing to be ashame of...

missile throwing hmmm... that wasn't too good of a thing to do... how is dudek??

Youth Team
I can't find where I posted my prediction on this game, but I posted it 2 days ago: I can't remember if I said Japan 2 (or 1) and Poland 0.

And Japan's been good since 98 - sure, they lost to Jamaica, but they weren't playing well in that match - but you should've seen them play against Argentina and Croatia - close games in which Japan lost by the odd goal.

Also recently, Japan defeated Finland (I think) by 3 goals...don't quote me on this, maybe it was South Korea who beat some European country. I'll look into this.

Poland's good, but from most accounts, they were almost wholly reliant on Olisadebehe (sp?) during Qualifiers - that's not good. They can definitely improve, though.

Olisadebe scored 8 goals, but the whole team played good. He was the one that shined, but without great teamwork (especially Swierczewski <Marseille> and Kozminski <Brescia>) we wouldn't score so many goals. Yeah, Poland had a hard time with finishing without Olisadebe, that's true. Our defence, which was miserable against Japan, did a very good job too.

Hugo: Maybe Poland is, but Portugal?! LOL... how can you be in deep sh!t if you are playing against USA, S. Korea and Poland in the WC, and in the last game you didn't have Figo or R. Costa.

You know, Poland today was not motivated at all, they seemed like walking was better than running. And being not motivated in the WC is impossible. It was a good game to lose (better than if we would lose to Romania) because Japan is much better than Korea, and we got to know more about Asian soccer-style.
Everything is gonna be fine! I don't wanna say good bye, after 3 matches in June:(

oh, and about Dudek: He was deaf for a few minutes. He needed a medical help. In the half time he was substituted, because he was unable to hear with one ear. I think everything is fine now, and that stupid mother****er :f***: was already caught by police.
