... and guess where? Out of all places, Argentina.
I just saw him on the news, he may make his debut this weekend for his new club Newell's Old Boys of Rosario. I find it odd for him to end up in Argentina... if anything, maybe Qatar or something, where the money is. Too bad he's been blacklisted in Europe though, for being a little bish many times... but always a great striker. I have fond memories of his goals in Galatasaray and Porto. Anyways, he's still somewhat young, i'm sure he wil succeed in argentina, as long as the coach gives him a chance.

I can't think of anyone with a better header. He was lethal.

He had many personal problems though which is a shame. I used to admire him. I'd hardly have anyone else up front in a lone striker role; perhaps Elber when he was at his best.


Wasn't he at bolton for a brief period ? Then Ancona... now suddenly some Argentine club.

Good luck to him though. I miss his presence in the CL.

He is not an idiot. Too much **** happens with his personal life and he tried to run away from it by even ruining his life. From what I read, his career went downhill ever since he got divorced.

Jardel use to score goals for fun in the Portuguese League. He was absolutely dynamite back then, even scoring the most goals in all of Europe.

Anywayz I'm surprised that he ended up Argentina. I was thinking he'd either go back to Brazil or go after the money in Japan or Qatar.

Anywayz I think I saw Ariel Ortega at Newell's Old Boy's as well? Weird that old greats are headed for that club.

Jardel played the first round of the tourney(this weekend we`ll playing round 15...). Lamently Jardel played badly and the crowd dissaproved so badly his performance that since round 1 he never played again...

Ortega indeed is succeding at Newells. Theyre second on the table...
