Hey PG,

Sad to see Perth Glory go out to Melbourne last week. It would have been good for the game to see another sellout crowd of 40,000 plus at the subiaco again.

Do you have a copy of Uefa Challenge? I have ordered mine from gameplay.com and will be arriving next week. I contacted every single game distributor in Adelaide including, electronic boutique, games r us, software supermarket, berlin wall software supermarket et al, but to no avail.

I asked one of the guys who I know @ software supermarket to contact ozisoft, the distributor of infogrames games, to ask whether or not it was going to be shipped to Oz. So he rang them to ask and their reply was, null"No because no one is interested in soccer games, especially european only versions."

I gave him the soccergaming.com address and he looked up the site was amazed @ how many ozzies were involved with the site and is going order 50 copies as a result from gameplay.com If you have it where did you get it from?

Errr no comment on where I got it from its impossible to try and get european games here - and with the exchange rate as it is it costs a fortune to get them sent out, well a fortune to uni students on Austudy anyway.
It took 3months for the distributors to finally get ISS Pro evo2 in stores here, probably something to do with Perth being most isolated capital in the world! Don't really understand why they don't stock more Euro games seeing that Ex-pats make up about 1/2 the population.

Yeah Glory going out was a bit of a downer but they need a purpose built(read rectangular) stadium. When they stick a soccer pitch in the middle of Aussie rules oval you loose all of the atmosphere. Also hopefully the coach will be gone for next year, leaving Brad maloney out is plain stupid.

Anyway how much is it costing you (in $au) to get the game in? The warez version is cut to pieces and when the patch comes out it wont be compatible, so I probably have to order it myself.

thanx for the reply. I ordered UEFA challenge from www.gameplay.com for 21.99 pounds which roughly converts to $65.00 AUD plus $12.00 AUD for postage from the UK. I am expecting it sometime this week...I hope!

I can't wait to play this game. Can you tell me where you DL the warez version? I know it is not right, however I have already forked out my cash for this game and want to get a sneak preview. The suspense is killing me!!

This is the first thing I have ever ordered online and hope it does not turn out bad. I have heard from friends who have ordered games from other site who lost all their money.

If anyone out there is reading this post and is from the UK, could you reply back with the lowdown on www.gameplay.com and what they are like as a company?

I heard this morning you guys bought Chipperfield and Matt Horsely! Well there goes Wollongong's Championship winning side. I heard Chipperfield is on his way to Borussia Moechengladbach? Is this true?

he yeah using Manu's tactic if you can't beat em buy em! Glory has to clear out the dead wood for next season, a few players that have been hanging around for too long.
Dont know about Chipperfield going to germany, Glory will sign players for pittance then send them overseas on trial immediately and if they get picked up make a killing so it wouldnt surprise me.

Honestly I think you should wait for the game to arrive then patch it - the version Ive got doesnt do the guys work justice.
Also you cant post warez links on these forums (fair enough) so if I find it anywhere I'll mail you the link.

I think gameplay are fine Ive read on a couple of boards about people ordering ISS PE2 fine from them theyve been around a while so I think theyre pretty safe. Also EB UK point international orderers to their site so should be ok -tell me if it isnt though!

Thanx for the reply. I have just received an email from Chris @ www.gameplay.com, confirming my order and letting me know of the time it will take to receive the game about 2-3 weeks from last Thursday....about this time next week I should be in soccer gaming heaven.

What I would like to know is why this game, is only available in the UK?
Why cant we get this anywhere else?

What's the point of making such a great game if only SOME ppl can buy it?

I dont want to end up paying $80+ over the net and HOPE that the game actually arrives, and even then take over 2 weeks!! wots all that about?!?!!

Hey guys,

I got the game delivered today!!!!!

I ordered it last 17/5/01 Thursday, and to my amazement it arrived today 24/5/01!!!

I have played the game and I must say so far I am not impressed!! The ball travels one minute at the speed of a snail the next it flies at the speed of light!

I copped a goal and the ball did not even go in!!! What is with that? It just hit the post! The ball sits on the outer(out of play)after a throw in? The players move so slow and the defending is worse than fifa 2000 when you had a sweeper on a striker the whole game!!!

The editor sux big time!!!!!

Why did I buy this game???????!!!!!

Don't hold back!! Thanks for your comments but could you be a little more specific - saying things like 'The editor sucks' doesn't really help us. What would you like to see in an editor?

Its no ISS beater thats for sure but after playing for a while it grows on you.

I have to disagree about your actua3 comment(here or your other post?) I think it was much better than the fifa available at the time.

Agreed keeping the ball is almost impossible with the AI players charging straight through your players even when youve got your back turned, also there's no visible distinction between a sliding tackle from behind thats fair or a foul.
In ISS you can clearly see in the replay that the defender missed the ball.

Yeah the game has that strange slow down speed up when shooting, does the camera get confused or something??

The game does allow you to pass the ball around though but when trying to pass to feet anywhere near they opponents area you get hammered. In real life players do get closed down alot quicker when in that position but getting constantly getting tackled through your back gets frustrating.

Keep posting your thoughts, and like Jon said keep them constructive - its easy to say the game sucks but if you tell them why it'll help later versions of the game.

Sorry about the "editor sux comment." I was in a huff at the time. What I meant was, you can not edit the player faces sufficiently, nor can you edit their height or weight and having a foot preference would have been ideal as well.
