Here is an english translation patch for WE6 FE

Was just browsing through the gamefaq message board for WE6 FE and found this little beauty.

Its made by a chinese guy called James Xu, and i've briefly tested it out and can confirm that it works. From what i can see the main menus have been translated and some of the formation menus and match menus, but to say the games only been out a couple of days thats not bad going. None of the master league menus apear to have been done though which is a bummer but its still worth a cd till a more complete patch comes out. A couple of people on that board said it didnt work, but i just tried it and it worked fine.

good lil patch. Most of menus are translated, as well as team names.
Im just playing the international cup and the main menu isnt translated. the setup one is.
the formation menu is english
some good work, u should try it

Judging by previous versions i'd say we won't have a rhapsody patch before the new year. So although this little patch if far from finished its the best available for now. Hopefully James Xu is still working on the patch and will release another more complete version soon. I can remember with WE6 rhapsody released a beta version before their final release and that had plenty missing (60% complete if i remember correctly) so I think its wrong to judge the quality of James's patch when its been released so soon after the game.

What program are you trying to open the rar with? Just download winrar and try again. Winace also supports rar files.

Thank you anyway, I knew what was wrong??
Because of the version of WinRAR that was installed in my PC it was old 2.XX then somebody told me to use the new version so it works fine with me !

Just to let you all know, another patch is supposed to be coming out today. This one is supposed to be more complete(about 70%) so we'll see wether it surfaces or not.

Has anyone succesfully patched WE6 FE with the english translation patch, and recorded with the Pioneer AO3 DVD/CD RW since I seem to be unable despite trying fireburner,prassi and clone cd & cdwin

Done all that as stated used fireburner and tried clone cd,prassi and cdrwin.
All will not copy my patched .bin onto a blank Cdr or cdrw due to error with cue file.
Clone cd says probably due to my Pioneer AO3 DVD RW not being RAW compatible.
Anyone else have same problem with PIoneer AO3?

Error with cue file will be with the path of the bin file. Just open up the cuefile with notepad and remove any file path before the bin. should look like this :

FILE "filename.BIN" BINARY
TRACK 01 MODE2/2352
INDEX 01 00:00:00

is what I have.

loading the .cue sheet into CDWIN is fine but on recording (even a non-patched file) I get this error instantly pop up---

"Error-'START DAO RECORDING' command failed on device 2:0:0
Cueshhet was rejected by the CDROM recorder'

and not

laraldo, in cdrwin, on recording options do you have raw mode ticked? The only box I have ticked there is underrun Protection so give that a try. Also make sure you've got the correct device chosen at the top of that screen( Your cd recorder that is)

Finally burned myself a copy of WE6 FE with new top of the range patch!

it worked only because I burned with an ancient cdRW drive,since the pioneer AO3 (103) DVD rw drive just cannot burn it!

Had to stick my old cdrw drive in an 150 pentium 1 PC I had lying around to do the job!
It works great!
