To say that Henry is an attention seeker by doing that gesture is a very unfair comment. Anybody in the French squad will do the same if they score the goal that night, even the clown Barthez will do the same thing. Pointing fingers to the sky is a very good gesture to appreciate and pay tributes to Foe, I don`t see anything wrong with it. In WWE, after Owen Hart died in a tragic incident in a PPV, every wrestler point their fingers to the sky the week after, some of them even cried. After the 9/11, every athlete in the world pay their tribute to the victims in several ways, and one of them is by pointing fingers to the sky. It`s not an act to seek attention, it`s a spontaneous act to show our tribute.

Pointing your finger at the sky to dedicate it to someone has been done plenty of times.. example.. here are the players of athletic bilbao dedicating a goal last sunday to the president of the club who died wednesday...
