I recently bought a new computer since my old one broke, but can't get pes4 to run smoothly on it, i dont understand why since the new pc is WAY better than the one i had before, i have the latest drivers for my video and sound card and evrything is up to date hald life2 and doom3 are running wonderfully but pes runs like crap, Is there anything that you guys know that might be causing this, maybe an option on the setup ?? any help would be appreciated here are my pc specs:

Processor: Pentium® D Processor 930 with Dual Core Technology (3GHz, 800FSB)

Memory: 1 Ghz DDR2 Dual Channel

Video Card: Nvidia GeForce 6800 256 MB pci express

Sound: Integrated Sound Blaster® Audigy® ADVANCED HD Audio

My old computer was a p4 2.4 GHz with 1gig of ram and a radeon 9600xt (video )

the refresh rate on my monitor 1s 75 htz should i make that lower??? how does that affect the smoothness in gameplay Thank you

This masterpiece of Japanese software engineering uses monitor refresh rate to time its frame production, BUT it only works on default 60Hz (because that's probably how the game works on the fixed refresh rate consoles)

So when you go higher your PC drops frames that "tick" in between, aka the monitor timing doesn't match the games internal timer, so you get frame drops or doubling.

75Hz has the worse case of frame drops, 85 and 100 are a lot better. Play around with these and see how it works for you. I get minimal frame drops on 100 Hz and I'm used to it. I can't stand 60Hz for more than 2 seconds, makes me dizzy

Wow you threw away your old desktop...You could atleast have saved the parts or as a probably restore it and use it as a 2nd PC. Your old pc could also run PES5 smoothly.
