Help with free kicks?

I noticed that the CPU can do a very fast free kick with anybody they choose, and I think it's the driven free kick. I'm using a gamepad and I combined all of the buttons, but I can't seem to find which button to press while powering up the shot to achieve this. The "player change" button does the controlled free kick, along the ground mostly under the wall. So can anybody help me out with this?

yo if you hold L1 he will drive it on the ground
if you tap L1 at the time you hold the shoot button he will drive it in the air
& use the left analog to curl the ball on the free kicks
to drive it takes good timing if you hit L1 to early it goes on the ground if you do it too late he just kicks it softer
