Help guys, no E detected

Wants to be a Superstar
Ok, I'm having trouble with my E drive (it's a CDRW). This is the story: I wanted to convert some wma to mp3 so I dowloaded a program and did everything perfectly, after that, I went to by recording program (Bgold) and it said: "ASPI Manager not found" and it doesn't detect my E drive!!
After that I went to the detect hardware and the computer seems to "know" there is a E drive, after that I went to Windows media player and tried to open a regular music CD from my E drive and it said that it can't play it, but somehow all the songs show up on the playlist!!

Please guys, any idea of what it's going on?? What the heck is a "ASPI Manager"?? And why can't I even listen to songs??
Do I have to take out the E drive and install it again??

Thanks :(
