You win a free kick down in the corner near the flag, and what does it do, gives you the option to shoot, from no angle!!!! Is there not a way to choose (PS2) wether or not you want to shoot the ball or cross, if there is please fill me in before I go into this rant about "industry leading gameplay" and the fcuking lies that EA..... oh wait, sorry. Have any of you noticed this, seems to be a major flaw to me.:)

yes i have, i've noticed there is no way you can pass from direct free kicks in scoring distance, this sucks. sometimes i like the option of lobbing it in to the box, not just shooting from every free kick. and we're talking about direct free kicks not indirect.

I agree, it's stupid, the invisible ref decides whether it's direct, or indirect, even if you angle is not good. I have scored from angles that I thought were impossible to score from, but only once or twice.

About these "promises"...I keep hearing people talking about the "promises" that EA supposedly made, yet, I've never heard any of these "promises". Can you give me a link to the place where you people read about the "promises"? Thanks.

Im an inter fan too. though i dont see what inter has got to do with this. But one things certain, if youre here to proclaim things about PES then go to hell and leave the forum. We dont want people here who only criticize Fifa, ok critical comments are necessary but to an extent.

i got ps2 and i got no probs

i found that to do a direct free kick i keep tapping X during the cinematic until the direct shot comes up.

but if you wanna get the fk menu dont tap anything and wait until it comes up.

if this doesn't work then im a lucky bastard

They like 80% games.

If they add OTB they gotta take dribbling away.

If they add Great gameplay the gotta take tournaments away etc

OK, sorry, I just wanted to show that I agreed with black cats fan's sig, no need to get your panties in a jumble, and bringing Inter into the subjuct shows that you put basically no thought into your reply. I don't only say negative things about FIFA.

If you win a free kick near the goal, it only gives you the option to shoot, if the ref calls an indirect kick then you have the option to choose lay it off, far post ect...

And another thing, I guess EA didn't ever use the word "promise" but what do you call QUOTES like "industry leading gameplay" and "FIFA Soccer 2004 is the most complete and authentic soccer experience for true soccer fans"?!?!? I know these are subjective statements that are basically opinions that could be argued, but come on!!!! Do you seriously call the nitros powered shots, direct free kicks from no angles, terrible AI, and world wide known players such as Christian Veiri and Roberto Carlos kicking with their right foot....just to name a few things....but do you really call that "the most complete and authentic soccer experience for true soccer fans."

Sorry again, but I don't think so!;)
