I obviously watched more games than you, mate, we outclassed you either side of County Durham and your jamminess prevailed like it always does; a tremendous display of acrobatics from Darren Ambrose at St. James, which topped the statistics at the Riverside earlier in the campaign (1 shot, 1 goal for the Barcodes)

For the record, Bowyer did fúck all last season, I think even Michael Ricketts notched more goals than that racist sod last season, and all I remember of last season, is the Boro winning one more trophy than the Geordies :)

Newcastle are on a downward slope at the moment. Last season's failure to qualify for the Champions League has left a multi-million pound black hole in their collective pocket, and they're relying solely on a 35 year-old once-great striker whose retirement is imminent

On a lighter note, we'll stick with our smog, you can keep your mines, thank you very much (being California's produest Geordie :S )

Bowyer was our best player in the last few weeks of the season and frankly I would rather win nothing than some pro-am cup mid tier teams shoot for. Honestly bragging about the Carling Cup is like bragging about having sex with Paris Hilton. I mean anyone who tries could do it.

Also I think you must be confused about the direction of the team. We are not the team signing a bunch of old players. Infact if you look at it we are much much younger and more talented than Boro. Go ahead do the math. Jenas-21, Dyer-25, Woodgate-24, O' Brien 25, Bellamy-25, Ameobi-23, Milner-18, Ambrose-19, Chopra-21, Bowyer and Robert-29.

How old are most of the starters on Boro. Most of them are over 30. We are going downhil? Ha! We are only going to get better while you go in debt. Now why don't you guys go along and play with Darlington and Hartlepool.

So, what you're basically saying is that the older the player, the less talented/effective they are? I'd say that Southgate (34) and Ehiogu (32) are more effective and efficient players than Woodgate (24) and Bramble (22), and I'm confident that most of those with some knowledge of the beautiful game are likely to agree. After all, in the limited number of games they featured together in last season (9 by my reckoning) we failed to concede a single goal in each of these. It's a shame injuries and suspensions prevented them from featuring together more often. Even when one or both of them were missing, the ever-reliable local boy Colin Cooper came in and was undoubtedly our unsung hero of last season.

I'd also just like to point out that the Boro are one of the few clubs left in the English leagues who do not find themselves in debt at the moment, thanks to the legend himself, Stevie Gibson  . One of the best training complexes in Europe, and before you go on bragging about the quality of your young players, just remember that our youth team won the FA Youth Cup last season, and we've produced plenty of young talent recently, such as Stewart Downing, Stuart Parnaby (both 19) and Andrew Davies (18)

Just remember, the times may look bright for you right now, but the position you find yourselves in is not too disimilar to that of Leeds United before their downward spiral, which, concidentally, was the result of their failure to qualify for Europe one season. In fact, the decline is already showing signs of emerging, as yet again, you have failed to qualify for the Champions League

You should really talk to Malcolm McDonald (:/)

Keith Lamb's called a press conference at Rockcliffe Park next week, in which he is expected to unveil two new signings. Rumours flying around Teesside suggest that another loan deal for Bolo Zenden is as good as done, with either Owen Hargreaves or Ndjitap Geremi following the Dutchman to the Boro

Reckon 'Boro could challenge for a UEFA place this season. Newcastle are pretty average themselves, anyways. I think Viduka is a liabilty but Hasselbaink is a great signing - at least they are showing ambition.

Aye, Big Joseph's just agreed a fresh two-year deal with the club, which I'm glad to see as I'm a bit of a fan of his

Malcolm Christie should be back for the beginning of the campaign (finally!), so if the goals don't come this season, McLaren has no excuse

My understanding was that Juninho was possibly on his way out.

As for Viduka, he is only 28 and has scored 20+ goals in every single season he has been in England except last season (and with the Leeds team around him, you can't help but realize why). He also doesn't only score goals but sets up alot of play for midfielders who push forward, which Leeds didn't have last season but Boro definately look to have.

Personally, I am looking forward to 'Boro causing a few hiccups to the established order this season.
