has anybody got FIFA 2000.....

....working on Windows 2000 NT

i really miss playing this game but run Windows 2000 NT and the game doesnt work all other FIFA games from FIFA 98 RTWC to World Cup 2002 (latest version i have) work on my PC apart from FIFA 2000 which is a shame because apart from World Cup '98 its the only FIFA game i enjoy playing and really want to play it agian without having to resort to installing Windows 98 or ME

can anyone help ???

yeah i have tried that but with sadly no luck i just get the same thing i did previously with the game loading then have the screen flash and quit

oh well i guess i have PES3 to keep me going for now

I have been able to get Fifa 2000 to work on Windows 2000.

- Use Accomp (compatability editor on Windows 2000 CD-ROM. Set to Windows 98)

- Install my 3D Patch. Run 3D Setup utility and select your graphics renderer and resolution.

- Ensure you have DirectX 9 installed (DirectX 8 should also work but I recommend the newer version).


I don't support my 3D Patch as a fix for Windows 2000 as I have had many problems with it reported by my beta testers. Its abit of a hit or miss I am afraid.

i have got your patch galah and i have just installed directx 9 but im not exactly sure what Accomp is do i need to download it ? if so where can get from if i can get FIFA 2000 to work it will make my day

you just need to set the program to run in compatibility mode i believe,

...shut....and....browse cd

...there it is


in the support folder

Apcompat.exe (oops spelling was wrong on previous post)

double click to start it. Select Windows 98 compatability mode. Make changes permanent... Browse to find program...

CProgram Files\EA SPORTS\FIFA 2000

...done. Close Apcompat.exe, run Fifa 2000 from start menu.

(I've just done this from memory, as I'm actually using a Win98 PC. )

well i finally found my windows 2000 cd with Apcompat.exe on it and tried making the changes you said but it tells me to unload the debugger which i have no idea how to do any one help ? hope i can get it working

I had a quick look on Google, sorry mate couldn't find much that will help you.

I got a mate to try it on his Win2000 machine and it worked fine using the steps I used above, so its got me beat.
