today Atletico de Madrid is 100 years old and it's pretty sure they will have a hard time tonight against Osasuna because it seems celebrations always make them to lose :)

on TVE (a channel from Spain) they showed a flag they made, the biggest flag as of right now, I think they said it was 1/2km X 8m or something like that. But a lot of fans came out.
They have such a good fan base.

Most people actually from Madrid are more Atletico fans than Real

yes, i am a rojiblanco (to some extent), and i would like to congratulate atleti on their centenary day. now, onto important matters: we need the points against osasuna bad, and nothing but a win will do. if we do win, @ least we can rub it into those madrid supporters by saying that we actually won on our centenary day.

also, it seems the centenary celebrations are a tribute to the ego of jesus gil y gil. i have looked @ some of the things they have planned: a spanish air force fly-over before today's match, a bullfight, and even a rolling stones concert. as for things you can buy, there are the official stamps, the offcial watch, and of course the official centenary shirt.

about their birthday, Real Madrid was made a year before; actually Atletico was created by some Real fans who were dissapointed with other fans and decided to split (that's rivalry since the first day)
