Hmm, not suspicious at all. If Sheva is still worth 30m, imagine what Mascherano is worth.Thelonious said:http://football.guardian.co.uk/comment/story/0,,1862730,00.html
apparently there's a sell on clause , which if West Ham is offered over 35m they have to sell or match the fee, MSI will receive most of the profits.
Yes, theyve abandoned all decency and are officially giving players at discounted rates to a historical rivalmcq said:chelsea bought joe cole and frank lampard from the hammers, and now this...there needs to be an investigation
Hammers in takeover discussions
West Ham are engaged in 'exploratory discussions' over a possible takeover, but the club insist talks are at a very early stage.
Kia Joorabchian, the owner of Media Sport Investment, has long been linked with a possible takeover of the East London club.
MSI were also the company involved in the remarkable transfer deadline day signings of Argentine duo Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano.
But The Hammers, who are chaired by Terrence Brown (pictured), are adamant there is no 'contractual' link between a possible takeover and the signing of the 22-year-old pair.
A statement to the Stock Exchange from West Ham read: "The board confirms that it has had exploratory discussions in relation to a possible bid but these discussions are at a very early stage and there can be no certainty that an offer for West Ham will be forthcoming.
"The board also confirms that there is no contractual link between the signing of the players [Tevez and Mascherano] and the bid discussions."

(I like Drogba's title )
Makes sense to me.TheBlueBalla said:He really doesnt, I meant in terms of someone leaving and someone joining the squad this summer. But, the fact remains that Sheva, in my opinion, is able to play the target man and finisher role all in one, and while Drogba has really improved both his effort and his attitude (and its shown) Tevez is too Rooneyesque to miss. Sheva is 30, and we will only have him for like 2 seasons. I dont want to let talent like Tevez go to a rival again.
