I hope they will do something to solve it, as they have done in the past. The pushed up defence was seen as a cheat tactic by crew before so why not now?

Have you ever seen players keep passing the ball around when clean through on goal instead of shooting (when they actually manage to get past the defence)? The players hardly ever score because they just get tackled, If there was an offside rule and defenders could play the offside trap then it'd be fine, they'd go forwards and score rather than dither and get tackled.

The players pass the ball around to make up for a lack of an offside trap and wait for a defender to get back before shooting, and usually they get tackled. So the teams can have their defenders high up and it's still effective.

Basically, the forwards aren't smart enough to take advantage of the high defence. If you want another example of "stupid" players, watch on the analyser or live how forwards run out wide down the wing into the corner, then run towards goal instead of crossing. They then shoot from an acute angle and don't really pass very often.

4-3-3 isn't cheating. But where the back four are placed (high up), it is.
