Guimattoss Stadiums FIFA 10

Its not only in PES. The FM communities are the same. They even share the templates/designs of kits,logos etc in psd format for everyone to use.

FM10 is not released yet and they already have all the logos in different styles created, lots of kits (our minikits) also in different styles etc.

That would be impossible in FIFA.
Fifa community is dying. Just look at kits forum (there are only 1 page there!)
In previous games at this time there were many more.

Of course I am against someone who use a patch made by other and claims as is own but i think we are getting a bit paranoid about credits and etc.

LOL this is also what is pityful in fifa editing, you are always shuting out each other with stolen problems...PES community is more free, guys are taking each others works and share them together, PES 2010 is released from 5 days and you can already find wonderful patches, with things coming from more people put together, and nobody cries and claims about a license a property like you are doing everytime...you are all killing your community of editing...

Sad to say, but the words of this guy could be written with gold capital letters on the stone.

The problem is that many PC users grew in a Microsoft-minded society. Open source, and the relative contributions that open source software gives to a community in terms of growth and progress instead of a ownership/copyright based method, is still too far beyond their narrow minds.
I wonder what could have happened to human progress if the inventor of the wheel would have asked for credits and copyright like they do... :P

Here we are not talking about providing something for the community without taking personal credits but also without giving credits to other. Here we are at the worst form of stealing! What guimatoss make (and made also in the past!!!!!!!!!!!) is like stealing me a software project and than claiming that the project is his own.
Despite what he said in his last post, there was NO evidence of the fact that he was only converting. I see the contrary instead:
1) The title of the thread: Guimattoss Stadiums Fifa 10 not "Guimattoss Stadiums Converted for FIFA 10".
2) The way he post stadiums: just England and just "Villa Park". What's difficult about writing "Villa Park by Puliciclone"?
3) The way he make downloadable stadiums: just a cmp without any credit!

How can you really think that this is a fair behaviour? I would like to come at your work place and tell your chief that I made all the job you should have done and that you, instead, went away from the office for 3-4 hours without any reason. Then I would like to see your face in front of me!!!
I don't mind if he only forgot authors names: what guimattoss is making is really the worst case of credits abusing I have ever seen in any editing field!

Guys: you can tell me that we exaggerate to want that they ask permission for conversions (even if I still think that a question is not so difficult to make if you really want to release something in peace with your conscience), but here we are going far beyond what are limits of "open-source".
Hibee, in "open-source" softwares, in the credits, there are all people that made, even in a small contribution, part of the project. Here Guimattoss did not mentioned AT ALL Puliciclone? Do you understand? Is this so difficult?
And we are not talking about a superpatch with millions of authors: for God sake, we are talking about a single stadium of a single author: how difficult is to ask permission and to write credits to him?

The issue is in your same words: if words are important and not casual, you think editing as a JOB.
This is not a WORK PLACE.
There is no CHIEF here.
Editing is NOT A JOB.
If you think and you live it as a job, maybe you should open a software house and ask for money for your creations. I know that many of your creations are worth some money but, to be honest, I don't know how many people here would spend some money just to improve a single videogame.

No, it's not difficult. I said he should have give Puliciclone his credits, and I agree with you with that issue. I'm a bit less concerned about considering editing as a job and claiming for a sort of copyright which is far beyond sharing the pleasure of gaming with some other people.
This bad attitude is what kept me out of releasing and editing anything for this forum and some other forums too: if I'd manage to edit something I'll keep it to myself. My pleasure of gaming is too precious and sacred to be harassed by the frustrations of some kids who want to be somebody just because they released a nice FIFA stadium.

It's not difficult indeed, and at least it should not be.
Nevertheless, I've got more than 200 stadiums in my FIFA 09, many downloaded from your site, many somewhere else. How can I trace all the editors and "owners" of that stuff? If you like, I can send you them all and I'll give you 50€ if you guess just half of their owners!

I'm almost regretting those times when FIFA had just two stadiums (the oval and the squared one) and no one gave a damn for all this mess. We just enjoyed the game.
If a single credit is more important than enjoying the game, there's no more fu***ng game. The game is over.

Yeah mate I made the tool not for the moral user it´s for user they wanted to convert a stadium (own or with the permission from the author).
I find the people must respect the work form all the user of the community.
Look I can´t take the sky patch by outsider rerelease it and say I´ve make this patch this is steeling.
But so mate I open so all the way to convert stadium, but I´ll not that the user use my work to steal the work of other user.

About your 200 stadiums it is useless for you to know which are the authors because you use them for yourself. If you would like to release them all, you should ask for permission and author's name.

About editing I have the final interpretation for you: editing, according to me, is not a JOB, but it is a form of art. I'm not joking, making something like a Puliciclone stadium, spending 3 months doing it, it is a form of art that needs to have the author in bold! You can say I'm exaggerating but I don't really mind. What is a Leonardo painting without his signature or his trademarks? The "Gioconda" is a free form of art for the whole human kind (everyone can admire it at Louvre), but it is important to say that this has to be attributed to Leonardo Da Vinci and not someone else. The same here and for every other editing thing: that Villa Park is Puliciclone's Gioconda: you cannot steal it and you cannot pass it as a your work!
If an author cannot have pride for his work recognised by others as a great work and as HIS work, how can this world go on?
And the wheel example you made was a really wrong one (too far in times, there were no such concepts in those days). Do we have to talk about how much people went on arguing only to attribute telephone invention to Marconi instead of Bell or viceversa? Go telling Marconi that the importance is that now we can use Nokia,Samsung and so on: tell him that it does not matter if his invention has been attributed to someone else!!!

And just to be clear enough: I have nothing against the conversion work of guimattoss: I have everything against his way of doing things because, if you don't know, this same discussion was done when he converted stadiums from fifa07 to fifa08 releasing them without asking a single permission and without giving a single credit.
Between this way to work and, for example, the 150 stadiums cmp made by a Russian site, I prefer the second one because, even if they did not ask permission, at least they gave credits to every single stadium maker!!!
