anyone that knows music knows Hendrix was an innovator but technically he was far from being perfect.

Stevie Ray Vaughn, Santana, Satriani, Clapton, Zakk Wylde are all better guitar players than him technically.

But of course no one felt the music they were playing like Hendrix felt his, so that makes him special I guess, but def not the best.

What about Eddie Vedder..?

I agree with what most posted. Hendrix, SRV, Slash, BB King, Jimmy Page, Clapton...

Yeah, he actually plays it a lot in their gigs. I seen them live in Cascais, back in 96, and he spent 75% of the gig with a guitar hanging from his shoulders. I was 19yo and he gave me a high-five during the last song. That was as good as it could get for a teenager back then. :rockman: :rockman: :rockman: :rockman:

Starting XI
-Jimi (I think he's the best because of what he did and how he did it, the feeling, the emotion, just watching his shows makes you get goosebumps)

These are some of my favourites in no particular order:
-BB King (saw him live a couple of years ago, and even though he's getting up there AMAZING SHOW!!! One of the best I've ever seen, just a great showman)
-Keith Richards (something to be said for longevity and he can play)
-George Harrison (I have a soft spot for The Beatles)
-Eddie Van Halen (One of my first cassettes for my walkman was 1984)
-Eric Clapton (Just plain good)

EDIT: 500 posts :rockman:

Nobody mentioned John Frusciante. Probably the best modern day guitarist. There's nothing the guy can't do with a guitar.
