Graphics were great in demo! But in full game...

My graphics arent as good. The only thing that seems to be quite bad is the lighting. The detail is abysmal. I've changed the detail level to 'High' but thats made no difference. If i download the 'Settings Factory' and change the detail level to high in there too, will that improve it?

Why was the demo running better (graphics wise)?

Anybody else with the same prob...

Same here. What system do u have? I have a p3 500 (dont laugh) and it ran fine in the demo. But in the full version, the stadiums lights, the sunlight, linesmen and corner flags are all turned off. Changing the detail level in the game and in the factory doesnt seem to have any difference. Im beginning to think EA cheated us by releasing a half done patch to shut us all up.

Yep, its pissing annoying, the turf just looks dead, no life in it without lighting, what were EA thinking when they compiled the game?.

1152x864x16 on High.

I agree 100% with you. My monitor's nice and bright (high contrast) anyway. The full version looks great! I use the 'Broadcast' cam with full zoom, and the 'height' at mid-level.
I play at 1280x1024 (32 bit) on a CTX 17" monitor.
My PC Specs in summary: P4 2.4c (H/T) processor; Gigabyte 8KNXP motherboard; 512MB OCZ PC3500 Dual-Channel DDR RAM; Radeon 9700 Pro graphics card.

I've had the graphics card for over a year now- it's an excellent card. I bought the other components that I have listed, about 3½ months ago.
So, I suppose the game quality differs from 'set-up' to 'set-up'...

Oh yeah... my graphics card settings (for Direct 3D):

Anti-Aliasing: 2x
Anisotropic Filtering: 2x
Texture Preference: High Quality
Mipmap Detail Level: High Quality
Wait for Vertical Sync: Always on

I'm using the CATALYST 3.8 drivers. I haven't tried the 3.9 ones yet.

I like the menu implementation- the text is at a readable size, in-game- even if you use high resolutions for the game. The menu's are great- perhaps a bit to manly for some?? ;-) (In terms of colours/design)

But y would EA be so cruel as to auto set up our graphics? They turned off my lightings and not letting me do anything about it. They must be thinking that we PC owners play games like PS2 owners-right out of the box. NOTHING about the graphics has changed since the patch. Now im starting to bitch about EA again. Is anybody out there making a utility to turn on graphical features in the game? I'll gladly appreciate it

I hardly see anything in daymode but it looks great at night. I dont know why. Is it the game or is it the PC?

It has always worked well before with the Fifaseries

i found this too - but all i did was copy the locale.ini that i used in the demo into the full game folder

i set everything to the max and the demo handled it fine. BUT, realised something....the demo wasnt at night, so i guess we never really tested our kits with lighting effects/floodlights. Although the sun lighting was good (seen from goal kicks).

Do the floodlights ask more from your kit than the rays of light from the sun in daytime?

btw..havent had the 'Too dark screen' problem.
