Yes. This is what I've been saying all this while. I have absolutely no idea why people still think that FIFA has better graphics, obviously because they have either played only 1 or none of the games

Fifa 2004 on the ps2 has such ugly graphics. The heads are in large mode and the skin tones are all incorrect. Not to mention their perfectly shaped grass. WTF does it ever become muddy in a game? Fifa is actually goin backwards on graphics and konami is steppin it up

I'll comment on FIFA's graphics then.

The pitch does get muddy, but not too often.

The player models look pretty good actually (especially the "famous faces")

Dirt on kits is a nice touch

I'm sure someone will eventually add to this list...

The pitch is horribly unrealistic and it getting muddy is so unreal because you don't really see a world-class pitch get so ugly in winter.

Don't know if this is true but I heard in FIFA only the home team's kit gets dirty. Check out this thread in the PES forums and tell me which you find better. FIFA or PES. Especially after since looking at FIFA's Christian Vieri I'd have to say PES3. And don't get me started with FIFA's models. They are so unrealistic and unproportionate. The diff in Vieri and say Owen ain't that great either compared to PES3

FIFA's players are horribly disfigured and their heads look as if they're prosthetic or something. Vieri, Recoba and 90% of FIFA's players look like survirors of a particularly nasty train wreck or something....their arms look as if they're skin grafts..

FIFA's graphics are poor to say the least, they cannot compare to PES graphics, not by a looongshot !

Hello, this is my first ever post at the brilliant Soccergaming forum. Wheyhey! anyway, I thought Id give my first post to this particualar thread because the graphics debate is something I have always felt strongly about...

Basically, reviewers, fifa fans and even some PES fans always seem to say "PES better gameplay, fifa has better graphics, " and I was like, "WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!!!" in the end I decided that my taste in graphics must be different to every body elses. To me it was plain OBVIOUS that PES3 had superior graphics! (apart from the menus, but who cares what they look like) so I am glad that I am not the only person who knows PES3 has better gameplay AND better graphics than Fifa.

I'm playing the game in 640*480 high so I'm not getting most of the PES graphics.

But I think they look better in most areas

The menus certainly look better than 2004
The player models too (some faces in 2004 look like they've got skin cancer)
I can't really tell about the stadiums and team kits, they look much better in fifa for me but I see them in 1024*768 so there's no real comparison

But when you talk about graphics, you also talk about animations! and there is NO comparison between the two games!
PES players run so smoothly, and they react so realisticly, that they make fifa players look miserable little sprites. Have you noticed players who have long ponytails? Even the ponytail moves realisticly...it's amazing.

No contest. Fifa can't boast to be better than PES apart from having official licencess, and better commentary. (both areas that I don't really care about.)

I think the reason people say PES has gameplay, FIFA has graphics is because FIFA must have something going for it in order to sell millions of copies....sadly, FIFA has very little going for it, PES is supperior in EVERY aspect, bar the music, but who cares?
