Graphics Card?

hi i want to know if laptops / pc can take any graphic cards i got one on my laptop which i do not like and i want to buy a new one do i have to ask computer stores if my one will take a particular card or you think any graphics card can go on any computers? thanks

Laptops most certainly not. Normally the GFX 'card' in a laptop is just a GFX chip and some peripheral components soldered on the mobo. In that case, you can not upgrade at all. That's at least 90%, maybe even 95% of all laptops. Even when there is specific mention of a GFX card, as opposed to onboard GFX chips, it usually still is just a chip.

If you're not sure, check http://www.mxm-upgrade.com/ to see if your laptop has an upgradable GFX card.
