Got the game, got a question

I haven't been around for a long time, so I'm kinda lost. Can patches be downloaded for the Ps2 version of the game. I know that in the past this was possible with a modded ps2. I don't have a modded ps2 but when I was at ebx today I saw some gadget that plugs into the ps2 and alows downloads (I think).
Obviously this would mean I would need my Ps2 connected to the internet, and although I have high-speed access, I don't have any access for my Ps2. How much would all of this cost and/or is there any other way I can modify my game. Thanks for reply.

well you do need a modded ps2 to "patch" the game... but if you just want to be able to download peoples game saves (option files) then you can buy device like what you mentioned that you plug into your usb port on your computer and then you are able to download the option file to it and then you connect it you your usb port on your ps2 and then transfer it to your memory card... i believe that's how it works

thanks Soda,

That's what I thought, and it sucks. It only encourages you to mod your system, which I'm sure is not what Sony wants. Still I won't be modding cuz it's too expensive.
