Goodbye Sol Campbell

I wouldn't be surprised if Sol left. He's a mercenary. Just look at how he left those ****s for Arsenal.

If Wenger can find a quality replacement then he should let Sol leave. He has been inconsistent, injury prone and suffers mentally.

if this is true, everyone in the arsenal management has totally lost it. they convinced henry to stay because they wanted to build a championship winning team around him. and then a couple days later, they sell one of the most experienced members of their squad? i'd be pissed as hell if i was henry. youth is great, but kindergartners simply can't win championships. campbell is an international defender of the highest quality. if chelsea buy sheva also, how the hell does that mickey mouse backline plan on dealing with sheva, ballack, lampard, gerrard, rooney, etc......if i was henry and i agreed to stay at arsenal because i was told that the team would be reinenforced and then they pulled this crap, i'd leave right away because this is the opposite of reinforcing a team. this is significantly weakening it, and it's quite sad.

you need experience to win championships. you need a mix of youth and age. arsene thinks he can just keep buying kids and making them good. yeah, thats great arsenal will be unstoppable in 6 years (if the kids don't leave), but thats not good enough for now.

oh, lets not mention that ashely cole will now be the only established englishman on that entire squad. go london, go britain.

and please don't counter this post by saying that the "mickey mouse" backline kept 10 clean sheets in the CL. thats a great accomplishment, but your premiership form says a lot more than your CL form.

Senderos would have started in the CL final if he was fully fit.

Sol Campbell was our 3rd Choice CB, Toure and Senderos are the future.

Your not Thierry Henry

If Arsenal do get rid of Sol, they will feel it just like they felt the departure of Viera. Senderos is nowhere near man enough or good enough to tie Sol Campbells boot laces.

Me and Pede agree. And if you've been here for awhile you know that we've only agreed on things like "racism is a complete disgrace, Lazio should be relegated to Serie D," "Chelsea don't deserved to be singled out and picked on," and "Sol Campbell, even at 32, is good"

Sol Campbell, even at 32, is GOOD!! I know that this is a lot of money, but even a cheapskate like me wouldn't be very quick to take this deal if I was Arsenal. Athletes are extending their careers longer than ever before and Sol is in pretty good shape. I think he can be a top quality defender for at LEAST 3 or 4 more years as long as he keeps his workout regimen strong. Arsenal will really hurt if they lose Sol.

Well it will hurt us if we dont replace him but Arsene will. Like Vieira, Sol hasnt been in the greatest form for the last two years. Our Team has defensively been at its best when sol hasnt been playing.

There is no doubt that Sol is still a very good player but 8 million pounds is alot of money and for a player than when fit isnt first choice its a good deal for us

what's wrong with this line-up? I remember everybody blasting Sol early in this season and calling him mentally unstable and so on. Hope he'll be fine wherever he'll go, but i never have expected that he might end up in Turkey.

Is this for sure? most people gives bad comments about him but i watched some of his games at newcastle & portsmouth and he looks like a player that will be really good for our left wing. i hope he succeeds and likes the greatest city of europe, Istanbul. :)

Eboue is a pure full back, the centre of defence is no place for him. His main assest is his energy and pace and they can only be properly used on the wings.

Good-bye to his gay rhythm way of prancing up and down the field.

Two to three years too late..........he was always a liability on the field and was one of the ****tiest defenders I've ever come across in my time of watching soccer for the accolade he got and the money he collected from us ..........he wasn't worth half the 100k a week he was making..........that ******* donkey. Decent aerial skills............what else?

Hopefully it's true so we can now go out and search for a legitimate defender.

Fenerbahce denied they made a bid on him and that there isn't a contract in Istanbul waiting for him to be signed....

totally agree (and its even less likely for me to agree with Pede (H) ). Personally though that isnt what confuses me here. What confuses me is the fact Sol would even consider such a transfer.

With all the problems he had last year, it just doesnt seem like money is the driving force of his life anymore, and if that isnt, why does he want to go to Turkey?

It's all very weird.
