this guy is truly a goalscoring monster, even today he scored 2 for Bremen's 4:0 win over Hertha.

he is probably going to win the award for the top scorer this year and nobody even talks about him, at least not on these forums...

see, clearly he is the best striker in Germany so why is he not so talked about as lets say Owen, Ronaldo, Vieri, or Makaay who is 7 goals behind this guy, and even... even Cassano has fans, but why not Ailton?

He's having the best season of his career. 18 goals in 18 league games is simply phenomenal. If he were a couple of years young, he'd have lots of clubs wanting to sign him. Too bad he's already moving to Schalke next season . . why? I don't know.

i hope he wins the league with bremen, maybe its because he plays in the german league and dont really plays internationally for brazil thats why he dont get enough attention.

Exactly. Schalke has made a deal with some American companies that brought them €100M.

I've heard Ailton is going to get more than €3M a year. He's 30 years old, he just had to agree to that deal.

The same happened to his teammate Mladen Krstajic and Stuttgart's Marcelo Bordon who both signed a huge contract with Schalke.

No way he is the best striker in Germany. Look who comes second. Right, a 35 year old guy from Rostock. You need to score goals in other competitions as well, otherwise you don't get the attention you deserve

I would rate Makaay, Pizarro, Amoroso, Koller and maybe even Kuranyi higher than him.

Yeah, Ailton is a scoring beast, but it seems him like taht Ebbe Sand guy are great strikers but not considered :drevil: Worldclass :drevil:

If he could repeat this in other cups and maybe on the world scene as well then he would be considered in the bigger, known strikers, but even still, him scoring 18 in 18 is phenomanal and currently thats all that matters

He's about 30-31. Faster than Henry? I dunno how he does it, since he looks kinda overweight.

yea, he looks chubby and probably is but he is a damn goal-scoring machine, i feel bad for the next team that faces him and Bremen, good luck to them!

and yea Ailton is 30 years old, since he was born in 1973...
