2) Yup all 10 minute matches, although ive decided to do 15 minute matches for next season to make things more interesting

3) Henry is my main striker he has 23 goals. Ronaldo 15.

I find the game very easy now, i can predict everything the computer is going to do,which is a shame id do anything to get that feeling i had when i first starting playing it. I win the treble every season and i have over 100,000 spending points. I only lose 2 games a season max, but that season i didnt lose any.

you should use the macro tab in an editor cant think of the name at the mo to put all the stats up of all players in the game. i used to find the game very easy but after adding response +15 for each goalie its v hard to score past em and varoius other stats were added by 10 + for all players. the game is very very good now ! also for a challenge u could try to win everything on 5* with the default players :D

I cant be bothered to edit all the stats, nice idea though. BTW in my first season i didnt buy anyone and used default players and still won the league :p

its not editing all the stats, its using the macro edition and just doing what i posted, takes less than 2 mins. its a way different game. 5 stars is unrealistic because the gaps left open are huge hence with one touch passing any team can get beat using the same the same technique. no team in their right mind will put pressure on like that, the only time this is done is when 4 stars computer is losing near the end of teh game, thats realistic not doing the same pressure teh WHOLE game, bah. Anyway its just opinion and obviously in my opinion at least, you should at least change somethin and take others advice as the realism factor is non existant, no matter how good Henry is, 'course the easy answer could be you're just that good but theres no justification in that.

As Clubber Lang said in Rocky 3... i reject the challenge, because there is no challenge. lol. I can do it, but i guarantee id still win and dominate as before, once u figured the AI out, it's game over. BTW i have plays on 4 stars alot and i find it far easier, you get so much more time and space which is not how the EPL is played, there is a reason why 5 star difficulty is more difficult than 4 star :p

trust me once u do the edit of the stats yes u may still wint all things but its a far better game. u get no time on the ball what so ever if u put the likes of agression up and mentality ! its like playing on 6* level

19 goals conceeded, with 3 default players at the back, not one sub or change thoughout the whole season is pretty good. With world class defenders i only conceeded 8 the whole season.

Point proven, Spurs4Life. No wonder your arse is bored!

Don't completely spoil it for the rest of us, but put your coaching hat on. Based on your experience, provide us with some actionable feedback:

1. In your view, what are your top three tips for taking one's game to the next level.

2. You don't use subs period. How do you manage those white-arrowed useless players in a match? Does your experience prove that team chemistry is more important than an individual player's condition?

3. What are the most important characteristics of your playing style. Successful passing, creating shots-on-goal opportunities, possession, etc.?

I don't get what u mean by spoiling it for the rest of u?, u asked our GF and GA record and i provided it:confused:

1) ok top 3 tips, thati can think of ummmm :
i) Don't keep your hand on the sprint button, u will always get tackled 100% of the time, keep your hand on it then let go and start dribbling round the player, then press the speed button again.
ii) Use the wings alot, put crosses in, you will either score from a header, or go out for a corner, or the defender will boot it out and u will get the ball back again, either way u are on the constant attack.
ii) Don't use through balls all the time as a way of attack, 9 times out of ten it will get intercepted, just continue to do passes to feet, beat the first man then have a shot.

2) Ummm yeh i still play all my player not matter how bad the condition. What i do is say for example Ronaldo is on a blue arrow, but Ronaldinho has green, id try and pass it to Ronaldinho alot more make sure he has theball 90% of the time instead of Ronaldo. But if all my players are on blue, ill try and score in the first 10 mins of a game, because in the first ten minutes condition doesnt have a effect on the player. Whether i get the goal or not after that i just defend like Celtic for the rest of the game and attack and try and sneak some goals.

3) I try and play the passing game, but when players are in bad condition (blue arrows or white) it's impossible, so i just give it to Nedved to run down the wings. But i play a mixed game, i play passes through the middle and down the wing, just try and have a balanced attack. I can also score alot from corners and free kicks, train up on them.

Good stuff, thanks for sharing (You mentioned you can basically predict everything the AI's going to do, hence my "don't spoil it for us" comment ;)

I think your experience proves a couple of things, namely:

1. You must constantly attack. When I first started playing the series, particularly at the top difficulty levels, I really focused on defense and playing a more conservative game. The last several seasons of ML, I've really gone on the attack and it pays off.

(Anybody can crunch the numbers as well. You'll find, for example, that every 2.5 goals net a win, while every 3-4 goals conceded net a loss -- these numbers are for illustrative purposes only, but they show you gotta attack/score to win divisions, cups, etc. in this series).

2. Wing attack has been most effective for me, and having your opponent give up corners is essential. It's relatively easy to score from corners.

3. Compact formation. Take a look at this stat. You'll find that the more spread out your formation is, especially relative to your opponent, the more likely you're winning matches. Conversely, next time you loose a match, check out this stat and you'll likely find your opponent was more spread out.

How does one get this number up? I'm assuming by attacking more aggressively and using the wings, although I'd like to hear your thoughts about compact formation, Spurs4Life.
