ok people, ive seen alot of you worrying about the 5 year career mode, graphics, no weather, nets not moving, goals too small, etc.. but nobody is talking about the most important thing in a video game, the gameplay. i havent played the demo yet but ive heard its pretty easy to score from outside the box and and the ball goes at lighting speed.
does anybody know if the demo is the final version, gameplay-wise? cause some people are saying it is the final version, and other are saying that it is only the 70%. so, does anybody can actually confirm this?

and dont get me wrong, im worried about the career mode, graphics and all that stuff too, but if fifa were to fix something, they should work on the gameplay first and then on the other stuff. cause im sure nobody is gonna play 2 years of the career mode if the gameplay sucks.

yes is very easy to score from outside on semi-pro levels... on the harder levels is not that easy anymore...

Yeah that's right;) . On Pro... It get's very difficult to score and create goal chances...
You maybe should play the demo and see. It's worth it..

Just who the hell plays on a level under worldclass for fifa?....
After you get the hang of this game its ALWAYS worldclas..if not then you really suck at this game

It is true that it is more difficult to score on higher difficulty levels but is it also true that the ball travels not 100 km/h, it travels 300km/h and nets act like some damn wall. Yep. I would like that to be fixed

Demo cant be fixed ( editing ini.big ) but maybe the full version can be edited so we can fix gameplay :D

We all finish doing whatever ea doesnt lol

I think if you play in the two harders levels the goals form outside the box aren't so easy

no in the harder levels it isnt that easy.. you can still score from outside.. but not constantly.. is hard to get easy shots off.. and if you take a bit too long with off the ball they'll just take it from you..

Semi-pro was nothing, but professional actually has a nice resistance. They even created some chances and it's hard to get past their defence.

are you saying pes is not easy on 1 or 2 stars? and that the cpu plays the same.. and the game is as complicated?

If I had to talk about PES/WE, I still could sit back and enjoy playing on 3 stars.

Yeah, the cpu AI is easier to beat, but from the goals I score... I feel just 'bout the same amount of satisfaction as I do on 5 stars. (well.. almost)

From this demo, playing on semi-pro.... I score.. and I go "huh?? Oh... so it went in like that.... nifty.... yay.."

Just an honest opinion.

Point is, the fundamentals of football should be there and sound. And I'm saying there's a bit more improvement left to do. And the feel for improvement becomes more apparent on easier levels.

well.. I havent seen that big mistake about semi-pro.. is just easy.. which is expected really.. I believe the only mistake.. and why some goals feel like uh?? is because the nets are a bit on the small side.. if the goals were a bit bigger the goals would make more sense sometimes.. but thats just my opinion.

I frankly dont expect EA to catch up in only 1 yr, but I am impressed by the change between 2003 and 2004.

When you first load the demo....you think what the... ?

But when you use the demo expander and change the graphics and the difficulty, you get a better idea of what they are trying to
achieve.

You can see that the movement is far more fluid, and you can actually win headers or head the ball in open play.

Things like OTB and the new corners and free kicks will take a little time to master, and I think by the time I have won everything with my fave team, played some internationals and taken some teams through 5 seasons in career mode Fifa 2005 or PES 4 will be knocking on the door.

All in all I think it is a much better game than Fifa 2003, but we will have too see how it stacks up against PES 3 on the PC.

I think one of the downsides is that you will need a PC with plenty of grunt and a half decent graphics card, or else it will seem slow and jerky and will be losing frames. With this in mind I will probably get in on the Xbox, but will wait until I can find a deal of about $80.

EA~Please fix the shooting speed, the Goalkeeper AI, and most importantly, the attact style from computer AI,

i know it's too late to fix it before release, but i really hope you can release a patch to fix the problems.

i can see it's a big step forward from 2003, and it's heading the right direction as well, but please, with Winning Eleven 7 comin later this year on PC, we all dun want to wait another year for you to fix the problems, or you may lost the loyality from our FIFA fans.

you know this year we all hope FIFA04 can make it, but after trying the demo, those problems that i mention above really spoil all your great works.

The game is better than fifa 2003. But I AI not attacking from the wings, only with through balls, if EA can also fix that will be awsome. First its very hard but when you get used to it, you will be able to pass it more acurate. One question, how the hell do I make runs, I press a button then numbers appear on the players, but all the numbered players stand there and don't do anything, I tryed every button on my Microsoft sidewinder but can't make one of them run in to open space..


Also the harder level you play the game gets tighter and harder to score a long range, the defence closes the open gaps.
