hi!
i've just given away my ps2 for 200€ with some equipment. i played fifa always on ps2. but now i want to get fifa 2005 for pc because the demo looked very good. i have better graphiks then on ps2 with a very bad graphik card - TNT 2.

my system:
amd 1500+ 1333Mhz
256ddr ram
TNT 2 32mb graphik card
win XP

i think i need another 256ddr ram and a graphik card.
which graphik card makes fifa looking good but doesnt cost very much?? i just want a good resolution....

another question:
i have a microosoft sidewinder gamepad. with that one i cant play first touch! with which gamepad i can play first touch and also doesnt cost very much!??

please help me!!

Back to topic. Yes you need new RAM module and VGA.
How much can you impose ? I sugest GF FX5900XT.(Y) It costs ~170 euros.:rockman:

Hmm.. Radeon 9600 Pro and if you're lucky and can find Radeon 9600 XT. It's better than Pro, but it's a little bit more expensive..

Don't buy a card with 256MB, because it has slower memory than with 128MB. Except it's a high-end graphics card...

That is good enough, yes - you should have a 4x AGP slot which that does. As KB8 says, cheap (relatively) graphics cards with a lot of memory use cheap stuff so you're better off with a 128MB card.

If you can afford a Radeon 9600XT 128MB, I think that will serve you as well as anything in that price range.

now i have 256ddr 333mhz pc2700
i could get another 256ddr pc2100 266mhz.

are this both able to work together?

Offcourse 512DDR and 266MHz. :D Because it's more than 256DDR 333MHz..

I don't think those will mix - if you have 333Mhz now, that's probably what you system's FSB is running it (this is a different speed from your chip in case you're wondering). If you put 266Mhz memory in, it will attempt to run at 333Mhz and that is very unlikely to work - chances are the computer won't boot. You should get memory that is at least 333Mhz to ensure stablity.

The Mhz rating is the speed - the size doesn't really affect the speed of the memory so the 333Mhz memory will be faster (but of course, smaller). The speed rating is the fastest it can go, the speed it will actually go depends on your system - in you case, probably 333Mhz although I can't say for sure.

Of course, what really matters is the speed of the system and both the memory's speed and size matter - of the two, the size matters a lot more but you do need to meet the minimum speed for your system.

bought the 9600xt on ebay!
will get it on tuesday! i also dont have fifa 2005 now - just the nice demo.
but i also bought it for 25 € on ebay.
also bought 256ddr ram 266mhz

can anyone give me screenshots of a 9600xt card?

opened my pc and the 256ddr i already have is 266mhz pc2700. thought its 333mhz.
so there wont be problems in dual channel work.

Actually, a ram dimm at 333MHz and one at 266MHz will cause the better one to underclock, which means he is actually going to have a loss in memory speed, which is a very helpful matter. I suggest he goes on and buys two new dimms at 333MHz. As far as I know though, dual-channel (as for nForce 2) works only at 400MHz. I may be mistaken, but I have a nForce 2 based motherboard and dual-channel doesn't work with 2x256 @ 333MHz dimms.

Anyway, that's only what I know, I may be mistaken.
