Before you guys think otherwise... I bought PES3 LEGALLY today from a major department store here in Adelaide (Australia), namely MYER (Grace Brothers)...

I got home installed it using my Sony DVD drive onto my P4 1.8GHz, 512 DDR, GeForce TI4200 using Windows XP Pro...

When the game finished installing, I clicked play... Nothing happened... I disabled my other monitor, rebooted and tried again... nothing happened...

Do any of you guys have a solution to this?

If I download a patch, will this make the game work?

(P.S. I posted this in the Technical Issues forum as well because I didnt know where to put it)

Make sure you dont have any drive emulator software running. I had the same problem unil i deleted and completly uninstalled my drive emulator dameon program i was running to play Call of Duty.

I got my problem solved here in the 1st place :)

I believe it is to do with the codecs you may have on your pute for watching d/l films avi's divx and xvid etc
and somehow it clashes with the intro from PES3

anyway at least you are playing
tis a great great game.

I installed both the patches, and when I attempted to create a player... I found it nearly impossible as the thing selecting the lettering/player name was moving WAY to quickly!...

I also installed it on my laptop (centrino 1.4 w/256 RAM and a ****ty Graphics card)... it runs... nowhere nearly as badly as on my P4... However, it is INCREDIBLY SLOW during the games... it's like the game is in slow-mo the entire time!
