Game Freezing - PS2

It has only recently started doing this...

I'm on about season 2015 and in the out of game squad menu if i change the formation or swap my squad around the game always freezes. It only does it when doing that never happened anywhere else.

has anyone else had this? what can i do? its annoying as i cant move my team around

ah so you not been able to solve it? i thought maybe my disc got bit scratched or something. what year are you up to? as im sure it only started it around 2012.
its annoying :(
