Game fails at being cool!!! [help]

When I run the game, I get through all the logo screens, then instead of seeing the title screen afterwards, I see a black screen. That spinning football in the lower right corner is still there.

What the hell is wrong? May it have something to do with skin files or something? I installed some face packs yesterday, and the game worked fine until today.

Help?

It might help to just simple click with your mouse or have patience.

If those two don't work, I'd reinstall the game. That should fix it.

I have waited for several minutes and clicked 100 times, nothing happened.

I reinstalled the game, and the same thing happens.

What's wrong?

Try deleting the whole Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2007 folder and than reinstall. That way you make sure that there are no corrupt files left.

I'm out of options if that doesn't work though.

After uninstal, deleting the si folder from program files and my documents....new or old gfx card driver is the next thing to try. Might work. Tho i doubt. After you delete all the folders it'll work

What are your system specs?

it'll probz be ur system spec, i had 2 wait 2 mins on black screen with 256mb or RAM with loads of additional kits and faces installed
but got a new laptop with 2gb of RAM and that skips it completely lol

Get rid of any skins or anything you've downloaded for it, even if you've reinstalled it, those are likely to still be in your Sports Interactive folder in My Documents. Get rid of those.

I messed around with all that **** a few months ago and ****ed the entire game up, so it can sometimes be something as simple as a wrong file-name.
