I guess i'll have to forgo graphical enhancement to my game this year, oh well

After working at this for quite a while I determined there are two choices. You can play with injuries, subs, and/or CPU subs and add no new graphics, kits, balls, etc., or you can set the options for no injuries, do not sub, and do not let the CPU sub and you can use all the modifications. I have eliminated substitutions entirely (not very realistic), and have added kits, boots, balls, etc., with no problems.
I cannot fathom why substitutions causes the crash, but that seems to be the case, and by the way, I have an nVidia 6800 GT.
