Frustrated

Can anybody please help me to sort this f***** game out. I'm really very frustrated and pissed from the gameplay.

The amatuer and semi-pro levels are for little babies. There is no fun at all in playing them as It becomes very easy to beat any team using any other team and with a huge scoreline. The pro and worldclass levels on the other hand are very very unrealistic. The PC is literally cheating to win games. I don't mind losing, but not in that way. The PC can beat me even when I play with the best of teams because simply it controls my players as well as its. Once I score a goal, the PC unleash the forces of darkness. The PC players become super fast, super strong, and super solid. While on the other hand my players turn into shadows. The PC players literally walk through my defences to score as much as it wants, and even when I get a tackle in, the ball either rebounds to another PC player or the ref calls for a foul.

The PC is able to attack with 7 players in the same time, and when I try to counter attack I find another 7 or maybe more at the other end. It's as if they it plays with much more than 11 players. Also the PC can score from impossible angles while their keeper becomes a superman who can save every single chance even when I shoot from very close range.

Does anyone know a good gameplay patch that can make this game realistic. All what I want is something that turns off all that PC impossible sh**. I want the PC to play like me and not always have to use dirty tricks to score. It has to pass the ball around a little more, try to explore gaps, give me a chance to play counter-attack when it attacks with 7 or 8 players, become much slower especially for weaker teams as I find that there defenders are always able to chase my attackers and tackle the ball off their feet even when I'm playing with the likes of Henry and Ronaldo, and what I mostly want is for the PC to stop running THROUGH my player as if they weren't there.

I know that you've probably had like a million threads of this kind before. But I was just so frustrated that I had to write this one. If anyone knows a way to make my life better with this game I'll dearly appreciate it.

I find that on World Class the computer can easily steal the ball of your player, even if it was Jesus playing striker for your team.

But I also find that I can steal it just as easily from them as they do from me. It's about positioning your player directly in front of the attacker, and just making a conservative tackle, and move on with your business.

And it's ridiculously easy to score, don't get me started on that.

good point. it's actually really easy to score, just aim at a top corner from just outside the box, put decent power on it and it should go in 99 times out of 100

I know, and 90% of my goals come from shooting from outside the penalty box. But it doesn't work all the time. Sometimes the PC just have to win a certain game that its keeper becomes super strong and saves every single shot eventhough they were all well directed and with decent power.

Also usuallly I find it hard just to get into a good scoring position, the PC defends like crazy and it becomes impossible to keep the ball in the feet of one player for more than one second. On the other hand I was never able to make my defence as tight as the PC's although I play a 5-3-2 formation. When in need for goals, the PC just splits open my defences very easily even if I had had all my players back. And usually, the PC just runs THROUGH my defenders (penetrating their bodies) to score.

i totally agree with som3a . the pc turns into some weird god that controlls every single player on the pitch. Any time it wants to score, the pc just drives my defenders crazy and makes them run away from the ball, like if it was poisonous or something. it totally sux! also when your striker is going completely alone to the goal and ready to score, some f*cking defender kicks you from behind, the referee doesn't send him off (sometimes not even a yellow card) and you end up missing the free kick or the penalty that was crucial to win a crucial match.

yep, that's so true. i mean believe me even if it were world class times four. Just keep shooting from outside the box and it would be a GOOOAAL!!! every game for me has been 5 goals or more regardless of who i play. Sigh!!!!!!! I have uninstalled the game anyways......

EA need to fix the keepers up all together....They can only do about 5 types of saves and it looks really stupid when they dont reach as far as they could've which would ultimately result in a goal. They can also kick and throw much further then they do in the game, so maybe a power up button for when your taking kicks and throws just after a save?

I think possibly your problem with the defending is that you might be letting the computer control your defenders. They should not run through you if you're controlling them and timing your tackles correctly. If you stuggle with professional just keep playing semi-pro until you absolutely thrash even the best teams wen you're playing with the worst.

I think that EA must modify his gameplay with a patch but the problem it's if they listen to us.
When you say that gameplay isn't good, we have a lot of people who said you: stop whinning, the gameplay is good, go to pes 3 etc and there is no solution to this problem.
And finally, there is no solution and wait fifa 2005 with the same problems.

If FIFA 2005 doesn't come with some gameplay improvements; and if they don't change that wacky FK and Corner Kick system, then I'll definitely change to PES.....

the defence is an improvement on 2003 for sure. i was winning 8-0 playing 2 minute halves. this years is tighter to break down

Could you please explain to me how am I supposed to do that?. I try to get my defenders back and place them in positions that would enable them to intercept the PC's passes. But I always happen to encounter 2 problems:

1- Sometimes the PC just prevent me from getting control of the appropriate player. I use a 5-3-2 formation and usually it seems easy to tackle the ball away from the opposition's feet if only I can get control over the sweeper. Unfortunatly, most of the time the PC refuses to give me that control, even when I keep smashing the player switch button. The PC always gives me control over players who can never help in stopping the attack and so I end up conceding.

2- Other times the PC just moves my defenders away from its attacker. I really mean that. All of a sudden I find all of my defenders running away from the PC attacker and it ends up with the PC attacker in a one-on-one situation with my keeper who's always helpless about it.

I don't think they improved the defences at all. It's just that the special moves don't work any more. In Fifa2003 I used to get past the defenders easily using the SHIFT button, this is not possible now in Fifa2004.

I really don't care whether they improved the AI's defences or not. I want them to improve my defences. The players should be more smarter and should place themselves in good positions. Unlike the AI, we, humble humans, can only control 1 player at a time, so how am I supposed to get 4 or 5 players in good defending positions the same time.
