Latest news:
Bernie Ecclestone was quoted in Autosport to have said: (rough translation from German to Dutch to English :p) -The organization have breached our contract, and therefore we have anulled it. They are very well aware of that.-
Eventhough Max Mosley says they have until the 12th of december, Ecclestone thinks the 2004 French GP is a lost cause. Yesterday Ecclestone decided (unofficially) the date for the British GP at Silverstone would be changed to the former date of the French GP, as the British GP's organization was complaining about the date they had been assigned.

Ok, the French GP has been reinstated. This means all 18 GPs will be held as was first planned. Or does it:

The French Grand Prix has hit another problem in its bid to stay on the 2004 F1 World Championship tour.

It was claimed that a cash rescue package had been agreed and that the conditions set by the FIA in order for the 2004 French Grand Prix to go ahead - would have been met.

However, the regional authorities at Magny Cours have rejected providing necessary money to see the event stay on the calendar.

Organisers of the French Grand Prix still have until December 31st to satisfy FIA conditions if the event is to go ahead in 2004.
