Don't know much about French league, but are your players a better quality than the rest in your league? If so don't try and Counter Attack as many teams will sit back, slow tempo down, short passing, wide width, lots of timewasting, should draw the opposition out and create gaps in their defence.

Sure. You received a lot of goals? Get a new defence, but keep Mario Yepes. Try getting Lorik Cana (yeah right) too. In the attack, with Pauleta, Kalou and that south american kid (forgot the name) you shouldn't have many problems...

Buy two new DMC's
Buy a better right-back
Play Klaas-Jan Huntelaar instead of that pig named Mido
Play Lebohang as a striker with a free role
Play Vincent Kompany
Sell Hendrik Pedersen
Win games
Win the title

Ok...chill.

Tactic menu: Bring down the time wasting to rarely if you want to win games pressuring them. Take out target man. Push the tempo up a bit. Push the mentality one tick up. Just put creative freedom in your best players. Defenders must not have any creative freedom, their job is to take out the balls and not to dribble past the whole team.

Now I've been noticing this...the left and right-backs have a very important job in this FM 2006. There are tactics like 4-4-2 that don't need them that much. But as you play with one striker, they are needed for when the MCs are inside the box to deliver the final blow. Be sure to have left and right-back with good positioning, crossing, speed and tackling, and you should do fine. If are in difficult games, where they can't always go to the line, then put them crossing to 3/4 of the field and with lesser runs.

Don't advance Edouard Cissé upfront. Let him stay where he his. If you want him to advance, increase his forward runs. These forward runs are most effective when the value for Without Ball (or something like that) is higher. As you have two DMC, one should be totally defensive, making rare runs upfront, and with low creative freedom. The other can have more freedom, but still needs to compensate the other. I would recommend getting at least another DMC. Rochemback, Cana, Boateng are good choices.

Zé Castro is good, but Kompany is better. Put him. Btw, Ze Castro has 20 in passing, be sure to put direct passing on him.

I don't think Mokoena there is a good choice...if you want a shadow striker, that's fine...but to be a playmaker...i don't think so. As Zlatan said...maybe striker with a free role? That is something you have to do by your own. If you want him to be a SS, then maybe Rothen and Kalou have to do the whole job almost...then one of the DMC has to move upwards to control midfield.

Mido is good, but at least in my game, as I have trained him...very inconsistent and troublemaker. Frankwoski (sp?) is a great player...he should be in Striker position for a year (he's old), but Huntelaar is also great... Pauleta stays on the bench.

And don't forget...in difficult games, tick counter-attack, play by the wings and tight marking. If you are being overwhelmed, man-to-man marking...

Now go play that sh*t.

:jap: fantastic Johnny :jap:

relax Da Kid, we're gonna make you the best team in France and, if you give us time, in Europe:brow:

well, as for the French championship, I've only played it with Lyon, so there's not much i remember except winning:p

you should definitely put Kompany and for the moment i'd choose Pauleta over the other strikers you have..everything else is pretty much covered by johnny..

edit:oh, where are you in terms of season? and what is you're transfer budget?

Still, I want you to watch carefully. the goals you suffer. How do you suffer most of your goals? Set Pieces? Counter? Crosses? Because that helps to correct the errors in your team. Watch for that...I remember getting my ass kicked in every counter. Since the moment I put my defenders without any freedom and totally behind (except in corners), counter is no longer a problem.

And don't start players whose condition is under 94% because they won't/can't give their best.

Do you guys need any new screens? What about training?I have created a pretty good training scheme but i think they are 2 heavy...can u upload me your best training(not the cheat one)?I just spend all my money on Kompany so..... :kader:

I just use the regular training in strong, a little bit before it gets very strong. The players show their potential and keep fit.

We need screens of your results. xD

Yeah, struggling your way back would be awesome...still there must be something wrong. You have a team to get to the first 3 at least.

EDIT: Watched the table...you can't score goals...is your set pieces correct? With CD going up and left and right-back staying behind to stop counters?
And how about shooting from long range...do you do it? Shots per game?
4-3-3 is a great tactic to dominate, but sometimes scoring goals with it is very hard.

But hey, looks like in defense you are not bad at all...14 goals conceded...still could be better...

concentrate on scoring goals first...you may conceed some, but if you score more you obviously get on top...again, maybe pauleta would be better, even huntelaar...mido isn't that class..maybe trying two strikers would be better?

Let Kalou(or Mokoena if you decide to play him on AMC) run onto the striker position, he would instantly become your topscorer. :jap:
