Free Kicks

One thing that i found so annoying and difficult about Fifa 2002 was how hard it was to direct and shoot free kicks so it could get in the goal. I cant even get the ball to curve around the wall.
When I played Fifa 2001, I was getting free kicks from anywhere beyond the penalty area.

I want the FIFA 2001 style of free kicks back.

Guys i think the real prob is the absence of the training mode which allowed you to practise ur freekicks in fifa2001.
However i've a slightly different view on this topic. in fifa 2001 i scored a lot from freekicks and the number of freekick goals were quite a few more than a realistic value for a season. And again all those frekicks were scored from what u call the right territory. There was no chance u could score from far away even if the shot was miraculous. This time in fifa2002 i scored from a very long range freekick which left the keeper with no chance and didn't look unrealistic also. Just that the shot deserved the goal. And on the other hand the number of freekick goals have been cut down to a realistic value which i appreciate. Things that are a little rare are more prized. But to enjoy that one must first get the hang of the freekick in fifa2002. A very high percentage of shots can be kept on target and they can test the keeper if u have got the full power and huge accuracy. Its good that success is proportionate with accuracy and power.
Only we miss the good old training mode. There we could score as many freekicks as we wanted.:monkey:
