Im n my 6the season of my career and have not really settled on a formation for my team.
i get best results (especially against bigger teams) with 4-1-2-1-2 but it a bit 'narrow' for me or 4-3-1-2 !
it also seems that no one formation works for all matches, sometimes i can use the above formations effectively
and sometimes i struggle with them against the lowest of teams. I know you could say this is like real life
but im not sure! i think most teams have a playing style and stick with it, its more to do with player positions
and strategy!!
i would really like to play 4-4-2, this is MY way! i like to attack from midfield but my real problem is no
matter what formation i play i cant get players like luis garcia in RWM or even steven gerard sometimes in CM to
push forward and attack the goal like they would for real..
so, what do the rest of you do! how can i get my midfield more involved? and what effect do the tactics have
on the game. In fifa 2004, changing the playing style would show graphically what effect this has on your
formation but now it doesnt, how does say, long ball, change the way my players move?
