Formation-Mentality Positions Used?

Anyone up for helping me tabulate these for everyone to see?
Better yet anyone already done all this?
(had a thread in editing without much response
but you do not have to be a database editor to see)

Important note...
I have worked out to actually see the positions correctly
on the tacics 'special player' screens
you must first set the mentality in the tacics screen (saving)
and then, with the mentality set,
actually change formations back and forth to the one desired
in the squads screen (also saving).
Only then can you,
going back to the tactics 'special player' screens,
finally really see them.

As far as I know,
the wings/possession/longballs contain/neutral/pressing settings
have no effect on any of this.

Also I have not seen the defender positions be changed
by mentality adjustments
but that could just be the formations I am using so far.

Here I have done the ones I have played a bunch
at one time or another so far,
more or less in order.

4-4-2 A = GK, RB, RCB, LCB, LB, RWM, RCAM, LCAM, LWM, RS, LS
4-4-2 N = GK, RB, RCB, LCB, LB, RM, RCM, LCM, LM, RS, LS
4-4-2 D = GK, RB, RCB, LCB, LB, RM, RCDM, LCDM, LM, RS, LS
or, D makes the 2 CM's into D-CM's
while A makes the 2 outer mids wings and the 2 CM's into A-CM's

4-1-2-1-2 A = GK, RB, RCB, LCB, LB, CM, RCAM, LCAM, CF, RS, LS
4-1-2-1-2 N = GK, RB, RCB, LCB, LB, CDM, RCM, LCM, CAM, RS, LS
4-1-2-1-2 D = GK, RB, RCB, LCB, LB, CDM, RCM, LCM, CAM, RF, LF
or, D makes the 2 strikers into forwards
while A makes the CDM a CM and the 2 mids into A-mids and the CAM a CF

4-3-3 A = GK, RB, RCB, LCB, LB, RCAM, CM, LCAM, RS, LS, ST
4-3-3 N = GK, RB, RCB, LCB, LB, RCM, CM, LCM, RS, LS, ST
4-3-3 D = GK, RB, RCB, LCB, LB, RCDM, CAM, LCDM, RF, LF, ST
or, D makes the 2 outer CM's into D-CM's and the 2 outer strikers into forwards and the CM a CAM
while A makes the 2 outer CM's into A-CM's

3-4-3 A = GK, RCB, CB, LCB, RM, RCM, LCM, LM, RF, LF, ST
3-4-3 N = GK, RCB, CB, LCB, RM, RCM, LCM, LM, RF, LF, ST
3-4-3 D = GK, RCB, CB, LCB, RM, RCDM, LCDM, LM, RS, LS, CF
or, D makes the 2 CM's into D-CM's and the ST a CF and the 2 forwards into strikers
while A does absolutely nothing

5-2-3 A = GK, SW, RCB, LCB, RWB, LWB, RCM, LCM, ST, RS, LS
5-2-3 N = GK, SW, RCB, LCB, RWB, LWB, RCM, LCM, ST, RS, LS
5-2-3 D = GK, SW, RCB, LCB, RWB, LWB, RCDM, LCDM, CF, RS, LS
or, D makes the 2 CM's into D-CM's and the ST a CF
while A does absolutely nothing

4-3-1-2 A = GK, RB, RCB, LCB, LB, RCM, CM, LCM, CF, RS, LS
4-3-1-2 N = GK, RB, RCB, LCB, LB, RCM, CM, LCM, CAM, RS, LS
4-3-1-2 D = GK, RB, RCB, LCB, LB, RCDM, CDM, LCDM, CAM, RS, LS
or, D makes the 3 mids into D-mids
while A makes the CAM a CF

3-4-1-2 A = GK, RCB, CB, LCB, RWM, RCM, LCM, LWM, CAM, RS, LS
3-4-1-2 N = GK, RCB, CB, LCB, RM, RCM, LCM, LM, CAM, RS, LS
3-4-1-2 D = GK, RCB, CB, LCB, RM, RCDM, LCDM, LM, CAM, RS, LS
or, D makes the 2 CM's into D-CM's
while A makes the 2 outer mids wings

This makes a suprising difference. Even the small changes.

For instance, I accidentally discovered when changing Giggs & Zambrotta to wingers as their 1st position in the database that they went up about 2-3 skill points without me changing any actual ratings.

So when you play these two, for just one example, at RM and LM and kick into attack where they actually become RWM and LWM they play about 2-3 points higher that you would think looking at their skill rating.

I dunno, an interesting nerdy thing to me. Aside from the other gameplay aspects it reveals.

I will keep this table updated on this thread by editing as I figure out more, and any help would be great, but after a while it will probably be justifiably buried in the dregs and hard to find if nobody is intereted as I do not intend to actually post any more replies myself here.

Haha not many people want to reply this aa?all so stingy one.

Well if u think there are no changes when u set the tactics to attacking/neutral/defensive...u wrong.

U see when u put on attacking mentality..most of ur MF will make an automatic run.Usually that happens.Other than that ur LB&RB also always make a run which left 2 def behind.

and mentality also effect some team.

Etc Brazil. If u play neutral of defensive with Brazil..u will find it odd and hard to control but when u play attacking..its incredibly good.I guess it is because the games follow the same style play played by Brazil.U never see them play defensive..hehe

And if u tend to play passing with Brazil..u will find the passing isnt smooth enough. But when u dribbling..its the best!

This what i've found yet.Its quite interesting though but quite annoying sometimes.

But never think that the options they put there is for nothing. There always a reason why they give u the options...

That reason..we have to find out~ :)
