And we've done it! Serie A, here we come.
Fell short in the race for direct promotion (for the top two teams), but we got promotion through the play-offs largely thanks to a hattrick by this guy in the final versus Brescia. I'm really excited about him. Only 19 years old and already he's topscorer of the Serie B.

He scores 9 goals, singlehandedly destroying Fulham, and the noteworthy thing about his performance is his deserved yellow card (which happened in the first 5 minutes)? Note that three other players were on yellow but their 1 assist each were grounds for high praise (1 of them didn't even get an assist and the CBs average position was on the halfway line, Fulham didn't attack for **** so there was no defending to be done).
I know it's meaningless, but this sort of thing is kind of annoying, especially because I know it warps the match ratings. How the **** can a player score 9 goals out of 10 on target (15 shots), get most of his passes right, as well play well in all other aspects of his game (other than maybe the 33% tackling success rate) and only get a 9.8? Reminds me of the pic I posted a while ago of Courtois saving my ass against ManU and getting a crap rating.

So, second Serie A season is done.
In the end, we did slightly better than last season. We didn't get into any relegation trouble during the season and we even for a moment had a slight chance to get to the 6th Europa League spot. We slipped up near the end though and fell down to 13th, which is two spots higher than last year.
Next season I would really like to push on and get to at least a top 10 spot. I'm hoping this kid will be able to help me with that. He's a record signing for us, but I think he's worth it. He looks pretty talented.
