I've never done it. In fact, most seasons I'll either lose or draw in the first 2 games. Then I start questioning my tactics and freaking out (because it usually happens to Huddersfield or Bristol City), but it ends up okay. I'll usually make some small adjustments (like a central striker in a 3 striker system back to an attacking Trequartista), but I resent having to do this; I had a pretty great 4-2-3-1 that was successful for 4-6 years. Still, I'm glad I moved away from wingers, because they are hard to find and develop IMO.

Still, a no-loss is much much easier than an all-win... You just can't avoid those late equalizers or bad games that end up 0-0...

Like I said, I have never pulled off an all-win, and for the last 2 years after all my tactics have been cracked I've been using the top rated downloadable tactic on thedugout with BY FAR the greatest players in the world.

The all-win is even harder when you play something like 32 players and have no problem playing B squads against good teams.

Well the 4-2-3-1 I created is pretty simple but greatly effective, but just because I have great players whom I just let roam out upfront, like Messi, Silva and Tevez... Still, Carlitos has bagged 24 goals in 12 games this season, so...

I'm in 2024 and Tevez still holds my season scoring record in all competitions. I've never had Dzeko, Torres, or Aguero, but I really can't imagine a striker being better than him at the beginning of the game. The man is unbelievable. Hell, I was using him almost more of a playmaker.

BTW, my goal right now is to becoming the most successful side in EPL history. After this season we'll be at 16 with Liverpool still tops at 18.

EDIT: I still think my greatest FM accomplishment on this version was winning the title in the first season purchasing only Pato, Rodwell, Balotelli, and Necip Uysal (great player BTW) and playing a super attacking version of Total Football with both an FL and FR who are uninvolved entirely in any defense.

Aye I remember you posting about the tactic... Well Tevez scored 69 for me last season, and this season despite me changing tactics and playing only Kun upfront with Tevez right behind him, I think he's going to score even more... Definitely one of the best in the game...

I do rotate quite a bit, he just gets an insane amount of hattricks and the likes... I guess I don't rotate that often though...

My love child Volker Spielmann had 40 in 36 apps last year and won both World Player of the Year awards. 60+ is just ridiculous.

That reminds me of my legendary striker in FM2008: Almir Idrizovic. In 2037-38 he scored 98 goals for me in all competitions, 78 goals in Serie A.

2034-35: 59 goals, 47 in Serie A
2035-36: 67 goals, 50 in Serie A
2036-37: 75 goals, 60 in Serie A
2037-38: 98 goals, 78 in Serie A
2038-39 (still going): 48 goals, 35 in Serie A

All in a straight boring 4-4-2 formation without any special settings (I'm way too unimaginitive to deserve him), but excellent teammates. It's crazy.

I got this far by skipping FM2009 (and not having a life). I didn't simulate one game. Currently got a 2021 save going in FM2010 with Barcelona. No Idrizovic's so far...

Incredible. I have a couple strikers at that level right now with City (posted previous page), but they split goals (plus I have phenomenal midfielders and a bunch of other top strikers). This current season they are both going to top 35 goals each.

I was experimenting with tactics last night and Inter Milan had a lot of the kind of players I was looking for. All I gotta say is this: Has anyone ever had Maicon on their team? He is unbelievable. It's really not fair.

I managed the Brazil national team for a while when he was at his peak, there were 3-4 excellent right-backs to choose from but he kept them all out of consideration. Very complete.

He totally shuts down the right side. He could get caught up in no man's land on offense, and he'll still run down the winger with ease.

Just dicking around with Arsenal now. I signed Wendel from Atletico Mineiro aka "the next Kaka". Then Gilberto Silva, ARSENAL LEGEND AND INVINCIBLE GILBERTO SILVA!!!!!!!!!!, criticizes the move. He was called an "Atletico Mineiro favorite". NOT COOL!!
