It's now been 10 days since i posted the announcment asking for applicants to the mod position, and we have a few candidates.

What i want people to do now (regular members) is to post who you think might be good and why, i dont want people to come in with 2000 posts (none in the FM forum) and say; "i vote for blah", stuff like that. NO voting.

Ive been on this forum long enough to know whose opinion should be listened to, i want to hear these people (and they know who they are) say who they think would be good.

After i (on behalf of the mods) get a general feeling of who the respected members are swinging towards, it will be up to the mods themselves to pick.

This might seem like a silly idea, but theres two reasons ive done it this way; 1. If it was a poll then all kind of noobs and non-FM posters would vote. 2. It isnt democratic if the mods just pick one person.

Like i say, this isnt voting, this is discussion.

Zlatan
Dazmania
Fernandez
Mixafendis
Bobby

I say Alex. He knows what he's doing and has a good history in the Football Manager forum. He knows alot about the game and has intelligent opinions. I also think Bobby would do a good job because even though he is a nutter, i know that he'd take this seriously due to past experiences, but then i doubt others would agree. Nothing against the other three, but they strike me as power happy people. (C-B at CS comes to mind).

You no my opinion on your idea already Tom, no need to express it where it isn't needed eh?

I feel we could use 2 new moderators Alex has a lot of knowledge, so he would be a good mod, plus he's willing to help.

We can't get an Ajax fan as mod though

Alex and Bobby would no doubt do a great job, but Darren, Muhammad, and Max have an advantage in their age. They have plenty of miles to go before they run out of steam.
Bobby is in between, but strikes me as someone who might hang around for years and years to come...
Alex is plain ancient.

If someone turns out to be "power happy" - not that you get much power just by being a mod of the FM forum - he will be demodded within hours.

I reckon Alex really. The guy knows his stuff and hes been the most helpful and resourceful person in this fourm.

Zlatan seems the best option to me, he already contributes considerably to the forum as it is now and has a great understanding of the game and the forum, after me of course heh

It doesnt matter who moderates this forum realy. As long as no stupid mods come to ruin it and also as long as we keep our style, that makes this forum the ceolest one in SG

I agree with Alex, we need to keep it loose, Alex is obviously the most knowledgeable of us about FM.
