after going through forums on this site, sigames's and others regarding CM4

after hearing people moaning getting angry for no reason, cause of the game


what we could simply say here is that cm4 is a FLOP, not a big flop

just a flop, simply as that

I agree, just because a game sells well doesn't mean its any good.

Its more the fact of previous CMs were so good and gained such a cult following that the hype surronding it made the game sell so well.

why i think CM4 sells alot was, that because people was made to wait a longer time, and the company released news about the game slowly by slowly, which made people eger to get this game, and many other factors too

thus when the game was on the shelf, people rush to get this game
thus leading to this high game sale even in the first week

we expected something better, but we got something lesser

hmmm... I really like the game.

I can see that it has some bugs, but in the games ive played it hasnt bene overly buggy, and the bugs that have popped up are very ignorable to say the least...

I think the problem is that i) people are never happy, ii)people are scared of change iii)Since CM4 was so highly anticipated people are dissapointed...

yeah, i have to agree........

i think the hype that has been building over the last few years, esp. in the last year, has led people to believe that this game will be perfect, flawless, and the end of their need to exist in the outside world

of course, games are not perfect..... and naturally, there are some bugs overlooked. si is doing what they can with enhancement packs..... which i hope will show how good the game really is

To be honest I haven't played the game to much.

I am put off by the fact you can't play it in windowed mode, thats my only major problem with it really

You can minimize/maximize it if you play it in resolution 1024x768.

I like the game quite alot. It is a bit slow, and it does lack the w/w-out ball screens and it is a bit buggy but I love the new interface, the enhanced media interaction and the 2D match engine is magnificant.

And you expected it to be full fledged Real Time AI?

Its scrypted, as in once the match has decided what will happen, the 2D engine just represents taht. The match doesnt decide before hand whats going to happen, it does it as the match is being played...And the 2D engine represents that...Of course it is "scrypted" and the 2D engine doesnt display the things as they're decided by the computer, if this was teh case, then how would the computer know, that what its about to decide is a "key highlight"?
The Game engine itself for CM4 is no more scrypted then it was for CM3 or any of the other CM games....We loved them, so this is irrelevant.

I like the 2D engine...As far as representations go, I think they have it spot on. If it was any more 2d or anything, then u'd want full on detail,and everyhting would have to be spot on. This way, its just players on the field, where they are, how ur defence is reacting etc etc..

in the mag the prodcuers said that the whole game is caluclated first, and if NO-ONE altered anything during the match, then it would stay the same, as soon as a manager changes something ever so slightly, the game ends differently.
