hey jumbo thanks for the sticky its really helpful, but i want to do the fliptop thing to my ps2 (i cant wait till feb to play the game) and im a little concerned about the warranty becoming void. If done correctly will my ps2 still work perfectly?.... will it be extra loud ( i heard somehting like this) and will my ps2 be susceptable to more damages because i got fliptop..... ino it sounds dumb but i really just dont wanna f up my ps2.....
thanks in advance to anyone who can help


ps....if i follow the instructions in the sticky will i be able to play pes3.....or only jap games

The flip-top thing will void your warranty but at the end of the day, the warranty only lasts for 3 months anyway if you check the small print unless you bought extra insurance when you first purchased the PS2.

The flip-top is the easiest thing in the world to fit (took me under 5 mins) and now I can play any game whether Jap, English, USA on CDR or DVD. You can play PES3 fine on any system with the flip-top as there is a PAL or NTSC option in the game.

To order just go to the shop section on my website for the cheapest bundle of flip-top and Swap Magic disks.

You need your PS2 modded somehow bro if you wanna play with all these great patches and the flip-top is the cheapest way to go.

Yep, what fokker said ^ BUT i suggest you wait a couple of weeks until Magic Swap 3.0 comes out.

Just out of interest Jumbo-sized fokker, what extra features are the Swap Magic 3.0 disks going to have over the 2.0 version? Doesn't 2.0 already play everything?

Well yes, Swap Magic 2.0 doesn't play everything -- like multiple ELF games (games that check for original code MORE than ONCE) & CD Rips.

Swap Magic 2.0 + CD Loader, however, does boot multiple ELF games but you gotta do 3 swaps and it still doesn't play CD Rips.

Swap Magic 3.0 boots everything: CD Rips, multiple ELF, etc. everything that Swap Magic 2.0 wouldn't WITH only ONE swap. SM3.0 will not boot DVD9 though (only 3 or 4 games use those so **** it...)

You may not be able to boot PES3 with SM 2.0 but you, 100%, will with SM 3.0. Somebody needs to check this sh!t out and let us knwo..

Check this: You can't boot PES2 or WE6I, WE6 with SM 2.0 w/o the CD Loader... . That's because their data clashes with SM's. SM 3.0 will fix all that.

It will own & can't wait to order it. Thank you. :D

and fokker... do i understand u right? in the game... in a menu there is an option to play pal or ntsc?

Yeah, totally. I use the flip-top and Swap Magic 2.0 to play WE7 and PES3 just fine. There's an option as soon as PES3 starts after you select which language you want, to have either NTSC or PAL. Works perfectly.

Did you actually import PES3 from Europe, big fokker? Does it work with SM 2.0 ok?

Or are you talking about that "borrowed" DVD Rip... ?
