Could be because of the formations, since you can only change style of play(Wing, Longshot, Pressure, Longball, Neutral, Possession, and more etc), it won't affect formations.

The slow reaction is the player attributes kicking in, which is all good. And the ball isn't attached to the players' foot, so turning should be harder to do.

but in some situations there is no time to press R2 and slow down the ball and control it on your feet.. in most of the cases the ball is being played faar away from feet when sprinting .. ok thats realistic by a player in a amateur team but not usual for del piero for example ..
mmhh... where is the promise from ea that every player would be different from another?? in fact every player IS the same only that SOME of them can run a bit faster and have different names and outfits .......

yo manufan, why do you keep complaining about that?
go out in the field with a ball in your feet and start to sprint as fast as you can and then try to make a 180 turn to see if you can do it without getting yourself injured.
its just not possible to do it, try not to sprint that much and just simply run and youll see you wont have that kinda problems, well, at least i dont have'em. make plays, pass the freaking ball and if you just dont know how to control a player then to sprint and quit complaining like a baby

play some real football instead of posting threads just to complain

Why are you people being so stupid! I said it was my only gripe! It's not like I'm being like others on here saying the game sux. You all probably still dont get what I'm saying. Let me get it in your damn thick head. HOW THE HELL IS IT REALISTIC TO NOT BE ABLE TO TURN. DID I EVER SAY THAT YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO MAKE A 180 DEGREE TURN AT FULL SPRINT? I SPECIFICALLY SAID THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEANT IN A PREVIOUS POST. TRY READING IT BEFORE ATTACKING ME AND SOUNDING LIKE A MORON. EA wont release a demo if the main gameplay features aren't in. The only thing they dont add is all the teams, stadiums and training and other features. Being able to turn is not a feature. It's a part of THE feature that is gameplay. The gameplay has nothing with it being a demo or not.

Ever since this game was released there's been a mass newbie invasion of people who think they know everything when in fact they know nothing. Try understanding what I'm saying instead of acting like fools.

true i have noticed the player reaction very slow aswell.... i always watne to turn right to not to get tackled but the player just runs left and gets tackled... come on ea fix it!!!

Hey man, chill out... why don't you try it on REAL LIFE Soccer... try sprinting (whille controlling a ball) right into a defender and suddenly make a 90 degree turn to your right or left... have u ever heard of momentum??? either you'll fall on his feet or make at least a 60 degree turn... ALSO, you should have at least REACHED the ball before trying to make the turn....

common people... think.... this ain't Nintento World Cup Soccer game....

I know i DO play real soccer... I really dont know if you do, but from what you're complaining about, it seems you didnt give it quite a deep thought before posting... you missed some of the real soccer situation, as well of the complexities of programming such a "lean" on a virtual player while spriting, and that has to reach a ball to which he is attached on his movements...

I repeat: chill out everyone..! its just a game... no game has ever "fixed" this, and probably wont for some time...

but you dont seem to get the whole point of what i sad.
first: in real football, if you are in a sprint you wont be able to turn to the left or right right away without stoping or at least without having the ball on your feet.
second: you said you at least wanted to lean to a direction, now, i dont know why you cant do that, but i can do that perfectly, just like in fifa 2003. oh and im sorry i meant a 90 degree turn not a 180
third: are you calling me a newbie?? are you talking to me? are you? cuz you see, i must believe you weren't, since i was talking about REAL FOOTBALL or soccer if you are american i wasnt talking about the game, i just said that that is the way its supposed to be since thats the way you play real fooball

I cant see any BIG problem in this fifa.
This fifa is the one that looks the most like real football and not like pinball. There are infinite options of play, and u can hardly repeat a move u've done before (u could in the previous fifas)...
