Just loaded up the Editor..... this is my first time playing CM after doubling my RAM to play Planetside a couple of months ago. I had CM 03/04 uninstalled so never got to try it. Anyways, it took approximately 5-6 minutes to load the database. Has about 25.5k players. Searching for players is improved, in the previous CM games it searched the database before you even finished typing the name, really annoying especially if you typed something wrong, but in FM they fixed this and you can type in the name, then hit Enter and it will start searching.
Other than creating myself I changed the ECC European Champions Cup competition to CL European Champion's League. Changed Oliver Kahn's name, and added the season ending injuries for Djibril Cisse and Sun Jihai. I also took the time to look through the new features, which are really really neat. Each player now has special "attributes" that suit their personality, such as "Likes to run down right flank" or "Likes to try killer shots". Cristiano Ronaldo has the attribute "Tries Tricks" and "Likes to beat man repeatedly" really nice addition. I also took a peek at the Club details, and noticed that Chelsea now has Roman Abromavich as the Chairman. And a budget of 135,000,000 Chelsea fans rejoice, they seem to have heard the complaints of the low transfer budget of CM 03/04.
Saving the database was quicker than I thought, I clocked it at only 3-4 minutes. All the editing plus exploring took around 40 minutes. And no crashes, very stable. My computer is very fine tuned, but unless you've got all sorts of worms and spyware clogging up your comp, you should really enjoy this game and the speed boost. I don't need Nygreen's Pre-Game editor anymore
I'm going to start a new game now, if you dont see me posting in the next 3 days I am probably on a marathon
EDIT: Forgot to mention that installation of the game comes with a very VERY nice Editor Manual in PDF format that explains every single feature of the Editor. This is very sweet and shows that the developers really care about the gamer.
