Worked fine last night, now it's being gay, can't even start it.

Error message:

16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem

CDocuments and Settings\Dragan\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\Mozilla Firefox.lnk

CPROGRA~1\Symantec\S32EVNT1.DLL An installable Virtual Device Driver failled Dll initialization.



Help would be much appreciated.

looks like the problem comes from that symantec dll, not from firefox.

i'd suggest a google: the error message + the dll name.

Ouch...you're still using Symantec? I never liked the amount of memory it used so trashed it. I only got it 5 years ago so I could download FifaWC2002.....although that did lead to SoccerGaming.tv so I guess it's not all bad.

Aer you using the Corporate edition or the Home edition? Corporate editions of Symantec/Norton have been reported to run much smoother although I have no experience with it.

No, I haven't used it in YEARS. I'm using NOD32.

Make your computer a favor and get rid of that symantec pest man There's gotta be something of symantec on your system... a leftover or at least thats what it looks like.

The Norton thing didn't help at all, but a simple re-install seems to have done the trick.

On a side note, your 130 kb sig is allowed, yet my animated sig was removed because it was over the 60 kb size limit.

I seem to remember it being around 80 kb...whatever I couldn't care less now.
