Finnan Passes Anfield Medical

Reports today claim that Fulham's Steve Finnan has undergone a medical and passed it ahead of a proposed move to Liverpool.

The same reports claim that Liverpool will pay £6million for his services, which is much higher than the fee previously doing the rounds.

Initial reports had Finnan valued at around £3m/£4m.

lets hope so .. lets hope we can get Gallas as well and that means we can piss of Carragher and move Riise up to Left of Midfield !!

yep...altho i think gallas is most likely going to arsenal if he does move...carra is at best a utility,squad player...he's good cover but i cant stand it wen he does the 3 steps-back-and-whack-it dance every game...

i hv this sad feeling that duffer wont be coming...or kewell for that matter:(

What do you think about Smith? :confused: I think he could be useful for the next season or two, but Baros will be class in a few years so we won't need Smith then (H)

smith is tops...but we already hv owen baros mellor heskey and even diouf can play up front...and remember the 2 french lads le tallec and sinama pongolle are coming this summer....le tallec very much excels behind the front too or juz off the front man..and pongolle is as fast if not faster than henry up front...wow..:D

It's still paper talk. There is nothing official about Finnan's move - yet.

However, I would not be surprised if he does move. But do Liverpool need another defender when their problem is up front on the creative front?

yep..our side has a dearth of fullbacks who are comfortable on the ball and capable of supporting the attacks via the channels to give some measure of width....as for creative players,i still cannae fathom wots running thru ged's head coz it seems like even if we sign zidane and aimar,we'd still be playing the ball square most of the time....

it's not merely personnel...it's the ethos that's sadly comfounding

YNWA.tv has it on good authority that a major transfer was called off this week because of the club's uncertainty as to Gerard Houllier's position at the club next season.
