to all ARES users,

i just heard that Ares, which is amazing for downloading, well anything has become a hotbed for viruses such as trojans

just wondering, has anyone else heard of this and if there is any truth to this, cause i love Ares and would hate to have to stop using it

BitTorrents the best if you know wherer to get the torrent files from. I've heard IRC is good, but I've never got to grips with it, I just use to chat with people.

in what way? well on that particular scan it found a trojan in ARES, and a trojan in summet else, it 'apparently' got rid of them, but i never do know with AVG...

yes, BitTorrent is the best and i m using BitComet 0.56.

Does anyone use eXeem? i think eXeem is not good compared with BT.

Anyone else with WinMX expierincing also connection problems when trying to download a file.

hey modena, i use Ares as well. I used to use Ares lite, but it doesnt work for me (and my other friends that have it).

About the trojan thing, now that you mention it, my antivirus card has given me some warnings about it, but i didnt know it was linked to Ares. (i dont know sh*t about the technical computer stuff). What does this trojan thing do? Hopefully my computer blows up

by the way, whats warez and why do people get banned on this forum for mentioning it? (again, i dont know sh*t about technical stuff)

trojans vary in how much they affect your computer, some are real bad, some arent

i havent had any problems, ares has been running beautifully as of late, so i have no complaints. but not a good sign that you got a warning

my antivirus runs out in like 20 days so i gotta update it or my comp will be trojan infested

Get BitComet it's not only good for downloading torrents but it also has a good collection of torret sites.

I just started using it a few days ago and am loving it apart from some minor flaws which can be ignored.

as the trojan name indicates it's a small program that once you run it, almost always by accident because it's disguised as some other crap, it opens "doors" to other users and allows them to gain access of your computer and its files.

Meaning that the butt shots you took with your boyfriend as well as the gay porn you've been downloading all these years might end up in the wrong hands.
